Symbian is not going to dead until Nokia stops supporting it. Symbian^4 is coming on November/December And I bet even you guys will really it.
Aitoami, 02 Jul 2010My first Smart Phone was from Nokia and guess what it was Symbian..
May be in 2004 and it ... moreAgree, Bada is future!
Bada only can be compared vs Apple mobile OS!
Bada is opensource system (apple not), Bada have bright future!
Many people now programming apps for Bada!
For only 2 months, over 300 apps is programmed for Bada!
For one year must be 3000!
Bada is BEST OS ever seen...
Symbian is DEAD
Nokia shut down
no reason for any more discussion about this craps!
This is his resignation letter :
Maybe this will let Nokia fanboys think again. He was "THE ULTIMATE" fanboy. Look at him now..
Sad news for Nokia and Symbian. The symbian Guru has left the ship, and is buying an android phone.
Check his site, he declared that he's shutting it off.
amrit singh(hacker), 02 Jul 2010no but it can be 1.3ghz thats the last trueWat r u talking man ? Wat no ?
phones fan, 02 Jul 2010good camera??????what phone are you talking about? the n5800 image quality in good light condi... moreYeah, thatz the problem ! 5800 is a music phone ! Anyways I said good,I didnt say it is best !
Aitoami, 02 Jul 2010My first Smart Phone was from Nokia and guess what it was Symbian.. May be in 2004 and it ... moreAndroid is just google's way of making you completely depend on a google-account for all you want to do, and thus getting more info on you . bada, as Samsung defines it, is not an operating system, but platform with a kernel configurable architecture, which allows the use of either the Linux kernel, or another Real-time operating system (RTOS) kernel.
AMANITA, 02 Jul 2010As far as I know 5800xm is nokias bestseller ! I used this phone for 1 or 2 months ! It really... moregood camera??????what phone are you talking about? the n5800 image quality in good light condition is very bad and hazy i will not bother commenting on low light conditions.
Aitoami, 02 Jul 2010My first Smart Phone was from Nokia and guess what it was Symbian.. May be in 2004 and it ... moreAndroid & bada is the future ??? These os lacks support of flash and look at the samsung and other brands, they r using gprs/edge class 10,12,whereas the Nokia N8 is going to introduce flash 4,N900 has adobe flash player 9.4 ! N8 edge class 33 ! I used to have class 10 long long time ago on my 6600 :D ! Another thing is Nokia always put large amount of onboard memory which is rare on the other phn brands ! This things matterz 4 me thatz the reason I am nt wid any other brand or os ! I am a nokiafan ! But I am nt a blind !when N97 was released ,i waited 4 it & read all the bugs, drawbacks of it and stopped myself 4m buying it ! But I am confident N8 is going to rock & I am with it !!!

I used this phone for 1 or 2 months ! It really deserves that place it has got now ! Gr8 audio quality, good camera & a nice inbuild web browser, touchscreen is resistive but itz ok ! U r disappointed but most of the people liked this phn thatz y itz a bestseller
Symbian guru shut down. This is what the editors had to say by the end:
•"I've tried to use all of Nokia's various products and services to the best of my ability, and I just can't do it anymore."
•"I can't continue to support a manufacturer who puts out such craptastic 'flagships' as the N97, and who expects me to use services that even most of Nokia's own employees don't use."
•"After this experience with the Nokia N97, there's simply no way I trust them to not screw up with the N8 – not enough for me to fork over $500 of my own money, at least."
•"Like Android, Symbian Foundation prides itself on being open and free – loudly and oftentimes obnoxiously boasting about how its source code is free for all – despite no one really caring about this, at least in my circle."
•"Both Symbian and Nokia are dying brands in the U.S., if not already dead, and I'm sick and tired of banging the gong alone."
•"Of course I'll still keep my eye on Nokia. If they can put out 2 flagship devices in a row that don't completely suck, I may even give them another chance. I won't hold my breath."
•"To Nokia, you guys are losing. Hard. Wake the hell up. Doing the same thing repeatedly while expecting different results is the definition of insanity."
•"I sincerely hope that the upper brass at Nokia starts listening to the folks who are putting in extra time and effort – these folks know what's going on, and like I did originally, simply want to see Nokia succeed."
•"I swear I could get a VISA, buy an airplane ticket, travel to Texas and talk to Ricky in person before Nokia Messaging for IM loads and opens a conversation with him on my N97 Mini."
•"But honestly, how can you blame outside developers when Nokia themselves can't seem to pull through a decent application?"
•"What good does it do me, as a user, if you have 40 or 50 or 60 % marketshare when you fail to gain any developer traction?"
•"Where are the games that make me pop my eyes in awe? The N8 will get Angry Birds. Big whoop. It took me all of 2 days to finish all levels of Angry Birds on my iPod Touch and you know what? When I was done, I moved on to the next game. Could I say the same about the N8?"
•"I can't evangelize a platform when I'm no longer 100% convinced myself: that would be hypocrisy and I'm not a hypocrite."
•" It had to be done and although it was hard at first, I've now come to terms with the decision."
AMANITA, 02 Jul 2010Itz upto them what they think ! Nokia is going to launch meego for phones, may b itz the reason... moreMy first Smart Phone was from Nokia and guess what it was Symbian..
May be in 2004 and it was 3230 and I loved that very much.. In 2004 I told you that Symbian is going to dominate and it happened.. In 2004 what my Nokia 3230 could do iPhone 4 can't do that even in 2010..
I preordered my 5800XM and stood in queue for several hours for getting that.. And it was an utter disappointment for me.. And then came N97 and it is a great fail..
Im not a hypocrate and I can't suggest anyone that I don't believe..
Symbian is really dead now, no matter what you say.. Android and Bada is the future..
What I saw in Samsung's year planning of supporting Bada, im completely speechless.. If they succeed half of their plan then Bada will certainly eat all OS.. And as you all know, Wave is a success, it is selling twice faster than Samsung thought..
And I have seen the backbone of Bada and it has every potentiality to succeed..
Im not a fanboy of any but Bada really rocks..
