Normally should be written if something was replaced. If the battery is new (and maybe works even if it's not) leave it to drain by it self until the phone turns off. Then plug it in for about 12 hours (during the night you can do this easily without being tempted to play with it. After that just do like 2 or 3 more completely charge-discharge (in this period charge it always with the phone turned of. After complete charge turn it on. After 3 minutes plug it back in to complete charge again). Do this processes and then just charge it normally (whenever you need or feel like) see if after 3 or for days get's better. Also, you should not run so many apps in background (battery monitor, anti thief, anti virus, this are all eating a bit of battery) You can also download Nokia energy profiler from store http://store.ovi.com/content/73969 and put your device to some energy tests. It's a bit tricky to use, but after you learn the basis you can do the test and see the average consumption of your battery when phone in use and in standby. Mine, in standby oscillate between 3 and 7 mA power consumption, so i have an average of 6 mA, without battery monitor and without belle extra buttons. With them both opened i have: first test: 9mA, second: 10mA average power consumption in standby. IS quite much, but i have to do some more tests, i think that belle extra buttons adds this power consumption to the table. Tests were done in periods of 30 minutes. I had an average of 129 mA power consumption during a 17 minutes phone call.

Carol, 28 Nov 2012You said that your battery doesn't last longer then 20 hours... So minding this fact, if your ... moreI charged on 26th November 2012 at 10 PM to 100%. The remaining battery charge level came to 4% on 28th November 2012 at 06:00 PM. So the battery lasted for 44 hours (till 4%). So if remaining battery level was 10% it should have lasted for 42 hours.
All times mentioned above are in Indian Standard Time format.
So I have concluded that battery will last for little more than 40 hours based on less usage (30 min voice call, 15 min internet via WiFi, 30 min ringtone testing at volume level 7, 10 minutes just browsing the phone's settings - all not continuously, just during the time). Do you think that it is normal?.
Now the time is 06:36 AM (29th November). I have bought DAILY COP software (theft prevention) from http://www.onwardmobility.com/daily/product-dailycop.jsp?pId=1
I have tested the phone from 26th to 28th November without installing that software. It runs in the background. You cannot see its icon in anywhere in the phone (except in installed applications area (like add / remove programs in computers)). Now I have installed the software in 100% battery level and checking.
I have also planned to buy ERD battery (not branded, but it is the best among the unbranded companies) and check.

Yemko, 28 Nov 2012That application to use power saving mode?Hey, i see you have allot of very strange problems with your divice... I'm starting to feel like a troll is using your name. Anyway, i'll answer this time. Is MrAlshahawy's Battery Power Saver (is only 0.99 eurocent in store). I never used a battery power saving app. But this one i like cause it is putting my device in power saving mode when i don't use it, also it closes all apps i selected to be clause when the device is not used. And when used the power saving mode deactivates. Be careful if you use 3g network. It is not so useful, you will need to set it only to close opened apps when the device is not used. And to set it to put the device in power saving mode only if the battery is less then ...% so you will not ocure call drop problems. As for your problem, i don't kniw, never heard about such a thing. Did you installed Belle? By the way...

So minding this fact, if your battery came down only 5% in 8 hours, it's a improvement, right? If it's still lasting after the first charge you mentioned, then i say it IS an improvement. As for that question, i don't know. Maybe you had a faulty battery and they change it. Also, did the device came formatted and in factory state? Maybe they re-flashed the firmware to. More then this i don't think is needed. It could be some hardware mall-functioning to, but if you said that the device is not changed and you have this battery now... Your phone must be ok.

Anytime I'm using it voice recorder or video recorder, I usually get high level of river flowing like sound and bearly hear voices. why?

I noticed in an online shop in the Netherlands, the N9 (silver) only costs 199 euro. The black version about 219 euro. Never saw the N8 being so cheap (199 euro), i think it's a good deal.

I have put to charge till 100% (charge complete indication) on 26th November 2012 at 10:00 PM.
Now the time is 10:51 PM on 27th November 2012.
Battery remaining now is 63% (as shown by Nokia battery monitor).
No background applications (except BEST PROFILES software which activates the selected profile at the saved time) are running till now. Just 20 minutes voice call and 10 minutes GPRS (both not continuous) and ringtone testing for 10 minutes (each song clip one by one) at volume 7.
They told that they have not changed the handset.
If you feel that this is an improvement, which part of my mobile was faulty (before giving to the Nokia care)?. Any guess?.

Now you should get 2 to 3 days in normal usage and 1 day witj heavy usage. Also pay attention to what's running in background. Maps never close it selves and will eat a bit of your battery, a bit mor i may say. Last night i forgot to kill it's processes (use best taskman to do that) and through the night my battery came down by 6%. Normaly, in standby mode, my battery comes down with 1 to 3% maximum. Now i use an app which put's my phone in power saving mode auromaticaly if i don't use it. So after one night in standby mode, my battery is the same...
