Most of people working in nokia and symbian already owns n8.
There are thousands of n8 in america made for taking videos for publicity.
ORCHARD FLOODED, 23 Jun 2010wah!!!! n8 is good when orchard flooded i took pic on the flood, suddenly i drop into the wate... morePhones ain't decided for dropping into water, so don't use this as the upsell point. If you had used N8, would you please talk more about how you feel about it, and the performance of the phone instead of pointing out a particular brand of phone to compare with?
AMANITA, 23 Jun 2010U r barking abt votes :D ,everyone knows that itz earned by illegal ways :D,yeah it may b fast... moreWho brought touch to focus feature to camera? It's even used in latest slr touch screen camera now. N8 is better in terms of hardware but software is more important. Iphone 3Gs 3MP is quite poor but 5MP is more than enough for average user. value of nokia phones drops fast as well. 2yrs old iphone 3G still can sell for 250pounds in uk.
[deleted post]dont waste your money on the idou unless you get it for a cheap price and dont have high expectations,,its got oddish software,,weak xenon flash..if you want a good camfone/smartfone from the earlier days n82/n86 are tops but touchscreen 5th edition camerafones vivaz/idou/ or android x10 are flawed even to stupidity like having to turn on the led light to take a foto..
Seriously. Wait for the Samsung Beam aswell. But if you want the good camera & 720p video get the N8 as it's likeley to be better than the samsung in those key areas. It won't have rubbish software noise rentention processing by smearing the image till it's effectivly unneffective & produces undesirable results like that new apple thing. What is that anyway?
Anonymous, 23 Jun 2010Nokia has announced the N8 price its RRP for Australia @ A$750 inc GST. US$659How they know while N8 is not coming yet

Michel, 23 Jun 2010Just because I'm so sick of everyone saying the N8 will blow the iPhone out of the water and N... morehigher market value dont mean anything, only it's due to the fact that apple over charges everything with people like you willing to pay for it. This mean their products have higher profit margin=more profit=more value for the company.
Simply the waste of money i must say. Nokia really cant compete with other compatetors in touchscren phones. The biggest problem in the phone is its damn slow. 680 MHz only when others are offering 1 Ghz Thats something unacceptable after spending that much huge money. I thing Samsung is hot these days both technology wsie and price wise too.

www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/item/Resistive_vs_Capacitive_th... moreWhat does being able to wear gloves have to do with accuracy? That doesn't make any sense.
Let me spell it out for you:
Resistive screens work with a grid of pressure points. If you unluckily press in between these points, your input will either not register or register the wrong pressure point.
Conversely, capacitive screens use conductivity to pinpoint the location of input. Wherever you press will be registered correctly, always.
Oh, and there are capacitive gloves on the market, tailored to motorists with iPhones.
Get your facts straight.
it could be perfect if it would have a 5 inch screen.
can't this phone get a os upgrade coz its pretty much a high end phone
NOKIA have all things but not a good OS , now they move to megoo for high end phones because symbian have to many bugs :S
