Omnia and N8 hahahah Omnia for N8 is crap
That is like to compare Zastava 101 vs Range Rover
I've lost interest in purchasing this phone after I read the recent article about Nokia C7.
In the article, N9 seems to be the flagship phone, so I'll just wait for N9 to be released.
Get a life. The N8 is 10X more popular as the Samsung HD. Plus the HD is so old. And I want a device with the best OS. Not some outdated brick :-)
No where can I find whether or not this phone is rSAP enabled, in Bluetooth. This is one of the big short comings in most smart phones. If you run a modern main stream European car with their inbuilt hands free kit, they nearly all require rSAP to use the full features.
I saw the prototype n8
its looks is just beautiful in person
very thin as well

What was I think due in April is now due in August. I think that is so stupid as I sold my iPhone 3GS for this the other day. Now because of the long wait Im thinking of going for the iPhone 4 instead.
I just wonder as to why the postponed it for another 4 months. I could understand 1 or 2 months, but why 4?
boring UI? like apple is so much better? all it is are a bunch of icons lined up...i'd be surprise and straight up angry if it wasn't fast with such simple OS especially if i have to shell out 700 or more USD for it. RIDICULOUS

It had a 1.3 mega pixel snapper which at the time i thought was magical. After it, i got the nokia n95 which hat a 5mp. It seemed like the end of the road for mobile camera technology. I got the 5800 and sold it almost immediately because i wasn't satisfied with its camera plus all the bugs and. . . Now i'm using a n95 8gb which is to arguably one of the best snappers in the 5mp range.
5mp cameras are good - that is when you wanna view the pics on your phone but when you wanna take landscape shots and view on a pc, the lack of detail is irritating. As far as i'm concerned, the better the pixel count the better. No number of pixels is excessive. If you don't like 12mp shots them reduce it in the camera settings.

dang need a new phone, been in love with the n8. don't know if i can wait for the n9 :(
from_the_US, 11 Jun 2010I dont know about others, but I feel using a 12MP camera to capture pics while away might be a... moreYou don't know and that's the key here. Neither do I nor anyone else know as well. Not until the phone comes out would we be able to truly put the battery life to test. But based on things like AMOLED display, a frugal OS and CPU, it might just pull it off. We hope for the best.
By the way mate, I have an N95 that is a great phone and a great snapper but I still at times carry around a low end Nokia XpressRadio when I face some serious time away from a charger. Although this little devil takes comparable shots to a dedicated snapper, it would be unwise to think any smartphone (or phone) designed within its constraints and limitation would ever replace a dedicated camera with its much larger battery pack on a long vacation.
I dont know about others, but I feel using a 12MP camera to capture pics while away might be an overkill on the battery and processor. If I am a tourist somewhere, I run the risk of running out of battery soon if I go on a clicking spree with this phone. This phone is purely for those who are camera specs crazy and think 5MP does not produce even decent quality pics.
Nowadays phone design. Ui design and app store are the most important
The phone design and controls look outdated and ugly. Even the display shown in pictures reminds me of 2004 Windows Mobile OS. Overall, looks like a bunch of nerds who have assembled a phone to boast a few features. Girls would never be impressed with a contraption like this.. they will mistake me to a lifeless nerd if I am spotted with one.
Android-based HTC/Moto or an iPhone 4 for me please. Thanks.
