Cortex-A8 is almost twice as fast as Arm11.Arm11@680 is something like 400mhz Cortex-a8.On the other hand i believe Symbian@400mhz A8 is faster (if it can be somehow compared)to android@550mhz(milestone). 1Ghz A8 is much much faster than Arm11@680 on any OS, I suppose.

N8 Brings Nothing New, it's a mere copycat of iPhone 1G.

It is real that n9 don’t have 12mpx camera. Cause it will not a camera flagship device. It will be an alrounder. So if anyone wait for n9 then surely he/she will not get 12mpx with xenon.

People, if you say the N8 will have a Arm11 Processor, actually you are saying nothing ! 80%+ of all 'smart' cells have a Arm11! Is like saying 'my car has a 4cylinder engine'. The Snapdragon is type of Arm11 too as are most of the microprocessors used in cellphones and even some netbooks ! More usefull is to say 'my car has a 2bar turbo charged, 2litre engine with 4cylinders in line made by Ford'. The N8 has a OMAP 3630 ARM11 (cortex8 45nm), 720Mhz processor down cloaked to 680Mhz, made by TI :-)

Symbian^3 will have lots of visual capabilities. Transparencies, misting, ghosting, movement & animations that are hardware accelerated & not. With incorpporation of webkit & Qt you can do nice things with python scripting & with HTML that you couldn't do before.

You no longer need just the Symbian SDK kits, you can use th Qt tools, multiple third party solutions, you can use your favourite webmonkey running in firefox to simply do some scripting access the qt core & get some really strong application capabilities on the platform.

Symbian going on into the future you get all this power & Symbian has completely merged the capbabilties of the web, data being remote or local is a concept which has gone away you don't need to know about it you simply call it in terms of content or information you need, on the cloud, it's cross platform.

                                  k. This phone has broken the limits in my opinion. No RIVAL phone stands agains this beauty, and with those features, its gona be awesome. Just waitingg for this phone to be released and thoroughly reviewed, but nothing is going to stop me buying this phone ;)

the only doubt i have is that my 5730 XM has a 480 Mhz processor and it runs S60v3 which is laggy and slow. so this phone having all the hyped HW and the infamous S^3 with a 680 Mhz processor is going smooth, i want some expert reviews for that, KUDOS Nokia for inventing this UNRIVALED SMARTPHONE

                                        Anis, 11 Jun 2010Its commonoly known as each ( 1 GHz = 1000 Mghz ) but in IT matter , each ( 1Ghz = 1024 mghz )I'm a IT professional, and I think you're may be wrong.
As far as I know Giga is a prefix meaning 10^9 as defined by SI.
Even Gigabytes is 1000 Mega bytes. Ghz is 10^9 Hz there is no IT thing its physics unit, in this case cycles per second.
This is a common mistake, but only aplies to information storage units, since some softwares use the wrong prefix, Windows for example use 1024 as the multiples from to mega to Giga, the correct one is Mebibyte and Gibibyte as defined by IEC.
                                        1 Gigabyte = 1000 Megabyte
                                        1 Gibibyte = 1024 Mebibyte
I've learned this because of DVD storage size diference from qhat see on box and qhat you get for real.
                                        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Units_of_information#Systematic_multiples

Sorry for my english, i'm still learning
