[deleted post]haha i love the n8, but we have to admit that its not perfect so rating of ten would be overkill, but somewhere in the 9 is what it deserve :)
Those are mostly samsung fanboys especially wave users voting against N8. I know them but its worthless to pay attention to rating. How one can judge device performance before the actual launch, how the rating for design, features acould change? Aren't they same from launch? There is only one reason, haters are coming and voting against. That makes it a useless thing. Wait for actual review, It will tell truth.
I see! The haters are doing there job. From 9.1 9.3 9.1 to 8.5 8.6 8.5 u are kidding. In my own honest view this phone is way better than any other phone in the market. Galaxy and the wave are trying but they are nowhere near the N8s' league. I can't talk abt the iphone 4 coz its evolutionary rather than revolutionary. The rating for the N8 should be 10 10 10. Honestly it should
Mahadev Sahoo, 10 Jun 2010Everyone who thinks that a big processor has higher speed is completely wrong..when all highes... moreIts the symbian architecture that easy to implement thats cuts the cost and also the higher proccessor speed hits on battery more than the price hike,,symbian is a very efficient highly optimised o/s ..
WAKA....WAKA..... IT'S TIME FOR AFRICA... Nokia... It's shame on u that u couldn't release it before the World Cup Soccer Carnival....starts. U MISSED IT
oh man i can tell samsung will be on nokia's a$$ for symbian3 on their devices
Well... I had Nokia, and Iphone.... But whit Nokia more fun! N8 or i4...- N8 for sure!!!! Nokia the best brand ever!!!!
I am happy to see Nokia is listening to their customers. A 12mp camera with a focal lengt bigger then 28mm is like a f1 car driving on a gravel road. Finally Nokia has decided to do the right thing. The N8 will be my next phone too :-)
Everyone who thinks that a big processor has higher speed is completely wrong..when all highest specifications can easily work in a 600mhz processor why built a 1ghz cpu....each ounce of increse in cpu leads to high in price of the device as cpu are very costly which are genereally hidden to consumers...that is the only reason the cost of Nokia n8 is lower than other higher range phones....
I would recommend a nokia n8 more than a apple i phone4...its like a dream to hold a 12 mega pixel camera mobile for so low cost...advantage goes to nokia this time along....
Finally Nokia is starting to make good phones again, A Capacitive touchscreen and a new / modified os makes all the difference
i gat enough money 2 buy iphone4 but i wont buy it , i gonna buy 2 n8 , one for me n one for my girl friend.

On topic of nokia N8's camera. Camera quality is a sum of several factors in general:
2. Objective (lens, focal length, etc)
3. Image processing software
4. Build quality
If you really want to compare to iphones, it's not going to be much of a comparison. N8 is in a league of "camera phones", with high quality lens, extremely large sensor and powerful flash. Software is the only thing that can really fail the phone in this category, and the video they demonstrated of Rhianna's concert some time ago pretty much put that to rest. Even with all the spotlights, horrible contrast differences and other problems of shooting in a concert, camera performed admirably. It would probably need a proper camera to compare against where it would lose on objective and focal length horribly, but it's definitely in a different league from ANY phone I've used with a camera attached.
Considering that apple has never had a high quality camera on a phone (and latest offering doesn't really offer anything else then minor catch-up without really getting close), this isn't something you'd want to advertise on as an apple fan. You risk losing more then gaining.
And Quote Steve Jobs “The iPhone is the first phone with native video chat. ”
If we were living in 2002 it would have been. You mean to tell me Apple have had 3G & 3.5G modems all this time & have only just realized that they can do video calling. Btw, native video calling was possible since 2003, 2004 with any high end nokia etc... where have you been?
