drummond86, 08 Jun 2010Good camera, shame about the rest of the phone with its below standard features, lol!Which is why even engadget gave it more positives than the Iphone 4 and twice as many as the Evo....

IamAnonymous, 08 Jun 2010take a moment and think about this: the n8 and the iphone have the same screen size. the n8 ... moreNo doubt the iphone has a much better screen but the question is how many of those 600000+ pixels can you actually see? The nokia n8 pixel density is perfect. The iphones is excessive. You'ld only appreciate that much pixels if you view your screen with a magnifying glass.

Besides, what use is a good screen with nothing to display. The iphone os is the crappiest piece of shit there ever was. Its comparable to nokia proprietor os. The type used on the 5130.

Nokia n8 kicks the hell out of the iphone from which ever angle you look at it. Come on. 5mp! That is so 2007. + no multitasking, no flash, no java. . .

im not sure thought if the device remains "discoverable" or do u have to "manually" open it every time u want to receive a pic :)

the n8 and the iphone have the same screen size. the n8 has a total of 230.400 pixels and the iphone has 614.400! you heard me right, not double but almost 3 times more!
I have nothing else to say.
                            goodnight and good luck.

just read on Mobile-review.com ,about things going on at Nokia an producing the dual sim cards mobiles an the Strategy changing at Nokia,as this site as always given honest reviews about mobiles an seems to like Nokia mobiles, but Nokia now not happy about mobile-review giving there opinions on there phones an banning them from getting information about new phones at Nokia,an also says the designs at Nokia are changing showing the C01 an N8 an the little difference in shape,Pressure now getting to Nokia an its the Companies own fault for not moving the company on advancing further ahead of the others,Why? as it taken Nokia to realise they are losing touch in the Mobile market an sales an shares falling,an its only got itself to blame an the big shake up gets them moving on again

[deleted post]Well, I heard about the phone.
I tested it in the shop when it is available.
I satisfied with the features and i buy it.
And I am happy with my Symbian running phone for 1 and a half year already.

                                        Screenplay

Todays mobile devices do more than ever before, video calls, web browsing, managing music, tracking locations. Users expect richer epxeriences & this calls for enhanced graphics & user interfaces. It's upto the the OS to enable more complex UIs to be built easily & to be flexible. This is what screenplay is all about.

Heres a simple example. A user checks a date in his calendar to confirm the time. While he's doin this he receives a video call, looking at this graphically, each piece of visual information is being drawn to it's own surface. The Primary Surface contains calendar information aswell as the usual phone status information.

A Secondary Surface contains the incoming call dialogue & the third Surface contains the embedded video chosen to represent the caller which can be hardware accelerated to improve perfotmance. having taken the call, the user needs to update his calendar where once this would of meant switching to the calendar application, the user can now interact with his calendar without losing the call.

As each piece of information is drawn to it's own surface, the UI designer has more flexiblity & control over the look & function of the UI. If needed each Surface can have it's own level of transparency. So the calendar view layer can be brought to the forefront of the call allowing the user to make changes & still talk. Typical UI will be transformed by this technology, user homescreens can now be customized to show unique features appealing to hte indivudual.

Features such as real time news feeds, sport highlights, LBS applications which use openVG to draw maps, each seperate application is drawn to it's own dedicated graphic surface, & video again can be hardware accelerated if required leaving the graphics competition engine to blend the surfaces together in a unified dynamic visual experience by writing to different surfaces & enhancing video performance through hardware acceleration screenplay is preparing the devices of today for the visual interaction of tomorrow.
