i hope the price of this phone is still 370 euro when it arrives in the Philippines

I think after investing so much on the new Symbian, it would be very generous of Nokia to allow a different manufacture to come out with the first Symbian^3 device. Think someone from the Espoo made a call to Seoul? ;)
dtp, 04 Jun 2010this games looks better fps on Wave...you are right, but this is only running on a proto, and this game was not built for s3. look at need for speed shift when it comes, that game uses the hw properly and looks stunning to say the least.

It looks like they took the the Windows platform out of context. Nokia does ship Windows 7 on the Nokia Booklets and there is no reason why they can't sell the OVI services for them.

Mark, 04 Jun 2010Hi,
Interesting points. Well for one, Sammy is betting on multiple horses, Android, Bada, ... moreYes, I agree with your last point there. Everyday passes that Google finds a way to creep into your life even more; Search, Maps, News, Mail, Browser, OSes, Translators, Video, Docs, Books etc. Don't get me wrong, I love free stuff and open source and I do love these things and use almost all of them but day by day the fine line between "choice of a" and "dependency to a" is being thinned. I wonder ISheep will one day be used to describe Googlers. :)
On a separate note, I have a feeling Samsung will be the one rumored to be the Asian vendor who will launch Symbian^3 before Nokia.
if se came out with 26m colors nokia came out with usb otg first in the mobile industry!
LOL. do you think 26m colors will do better than 16m im sure there's no different. it is just making it complicated!
im really gonna buy this.

meego is my first choice
kevinaux, 04 Jun 2010I think its working. For now anyways.
By the way Mark, wanted to share some thoughts with ... moreHi,
Interesting points. Well for one, Sammy is betting on multiple horses, Android, Bada, Symbian even.
For Android, the Galaxy S needs to be the flagship. Since it runs Android, there is no competitive difference to other Android phones on the OS side. By adding touchwiz, they are actually giving up some ground in this space.
The way to stand out is to add crazy specs to the device, and I am honestly doubting some of them, like the 90 million polygon count. I mean, the thing will be fast, thats not the point. I just think Sammy are pushing this dubious point hard, since it is, well, unique if it were true.
Other than that, and the nice screen, the phone is lacking hardware wise.
You said it, plastic, no flash (what!), TouchWiz, etc.
For a gaming device this would be nice, but so would the N8, giving you many more features for a fraction of the price. In aluminum. With Xenon flash. And navigation, free for life.
I digress but, when it comes to competition, i like the wave and the x10 better than the galaxy s.
And to be fully honest, I dont think any of those phones give you the bang for buck that the N8 does.
I am very excited about the N8.
PS. I think people that want Nokia to use Android dont see the bigger picture here. We really need Nokia to push Symbian like they did, and MeeGo. If Nokia would adopt Android, than Android would become the de facto standard overnight. Nokia is the only thing keeping Google from mobile world domination, and I support them in that.
