tictactaylor, 04 Jun 2010Nokia need to go for Android, that way you would have Nokia quality with the best o/s, i feel,... moreWhy do you think Android is better than Symbian or others? I agree that the UI looks better than S^3, although it is a small difference in my mind. Conversely Symbian has more features and uses less resources.
What is better about Android. Serious question here, I would like to know your reasoning...
Nokia need to go for Android, that way you would have Nokia quality with the best o/s, i feel, to date.
Anonymous, 03 Jun 2010Nokia N8:
Announced: 2010, April... moreYup i like the figures.. N8's got the interest of the whole world.. be it negative or positive!! as for me
I've decided.. N8 it shall be.. without any doubt... i was at one point considering upgrading my N96 to N97.. but wasn't convinced cos it lacked the oomph factor.. N8's got my attention totally!!
Rajesh, 04 Jun 2010This is for N8 admirers...I am posting it after being able to collect the info through some so... morethanks for information rajesh. do you know if it is the same underclocked arm11 cpu as in n8? i am exoecting devices to come out of nokia this year based on st ericsson u8500 platform, so am curious.
[deleted post]Really? Haha. So what do you prefer, fuTure proof or water proof? :p
The weirdest discussion ever ! rofl this will never end any time soon.
im out of here until N8 release date :) peace on you all!
[deleted post]true true, just the capability of the n8 to replace a decicated digicam n sat nav unit is worth the price already let alone factoring in the phone itself :)
haha...sony ericsson have just launched 26m colors....nokia will always follow sony...go sony..
V, 04 Jun 2010Where is the loudspeaker of N8 located? i think the earpiece of N8 might not be convenient sin... morei think its between the camera and the phone's body...
its one mono speaker, but a very powerful one...
N8 over X10
More internal storage memory
More memory space for installing apps
More efficient OS, less memory intensive
FM radio with RDS
Better build quality, unibody
Better Camera, with Carl Zeiss optics
Better Flash for Camera, Xenon vs LED
Better Speaker, as speaker on X10 is "feeble"
Better Browser support out of the box, with Flash
Penta band 3G, True WORLD phone
Faster and greater range WiFi
Better USB support with USB On-the-go support
Better screen: 16m colors vs 65k
More efficient CPU, less battery draining
Smaller size, more pocketable
VGA videocall camera
Better video recording, true HD 1280x720(720p) versus 800x480(480p)
Faster 3D processor
Faster charging, with dedicated charging port, and like the X10 also supports USB charging
Free DOWNLOADABLE maps, and free life-time navigation
and most of all CHEAPER PRICE!!!
Where is the loudspeaker of N8 located? i think the earpiece of N8 might not be convenient since it is placed just between 2 different levels of the screen and side wall.
While Nokia N8 was the first officially announced Symbian^3 handset, it will not be the first S^3 smartphone to actually ship. That smartphone will come from some Asian vendor.
N10 ( name predicted ) would target multimedia and at the same time business class. It would be lightly bigger and heavier than N8 but screen size would remain 3.5". On the look side, it is assumed that N10 ( name predicted ) might be available in colours Dark Grey, white and Silver. Nokia is seriously taking a dive into touch screen challenge and we might be able to enjoy more powerfull gadgets with user friendly OS from Nokia....cheers
This is for N8 admirers...I am posting it after being able to collect the info through some sources who are some how linked with Nokia...N8 should be availble through out asian region around mid july to early August at the predicted price of around USD 350 and to follow N8 ( probably model no. would be N10 slatted for availablity within asian region before christmas with specs : processor upto 800 mhz, inbuilt storage 32 GB, 1500 mAh Li polymer replacable battery, 1080 HD video recording and other specifications would more or less be same as N8. This product could be priced around USD 450 at its initial launch...Cheers....

Elephant Man, 04 Jun 2010Tom H its highly unlikely that you will convince any1 to buy the x10 en leave the n8. It may v... moreI'm not trying to get anyone to buy the XPERIA X10, i'm trying to get the peoples here to wake the hell up and see what the reality is about the Nokia N8 rather than assuming the Nokia N8 is awesome only because Nokia says so.
This is what i'm trying to get you peoples to understand.
Do you believe Nokia or do you believe this?: http://www.unwiredview.com/2010/05/03/interview-with-eldar-murtazin-part-1-nokia-n8-leak-market-prospects-and-symbian3/

There should ring a bell somewhere now that says something to you.
Ofc, now Symbian ^3 might be a little better before it's fully released, but that doesn't change the other facts about the Nokia N8.
