[deleted post]true true, just the capability of the n8 to replace a decicated digicam n sat nav unit is worth the price already let alone factoring in the phone itself :)

Where is the loudspeaker of N8 located? i think the earpiece of N8 might not be convenient since it is placed just between 2 different levels of the screen and side wall.
http://www.unwiredview.com/2010/05/26/lee-williams-symbian3-os-is-ready-asian-vendor-will-launch-s3-phone-before-nokia-n8-we-guess-who-is-it/
While Nokia N8 was the first officially announced Symbian^3 handset, it will not be the first S^3 smartphone to actually ship. That smartphone will come from some Asian vendor.
N10 ( name predicted ) would target multimedia and at the same time business class. It would be lightly bigger and heavier than N8 but screen size would remain 3.5". On the look side, it is assumed that N10 ( name predicted ) might be available in colours Dark Grey, white and Silver. Nokia is seriously taking a dive into touch screen challenge and we might be able to enjoy more powerfull gadgets with user friendly OS from Nokia....cheers
This is for N8 admirers...I am posting it after being able to collect the info through some sources who are some how linked with Nokia...N8 should be availble through out asian region around mid july to early August at the predicted price of around USD 350 and to follow N8 ( probably model no. would be N10 slatted for availablity within asian region before christmas with specs : processor upto 800 mhz, inbuilt storage 32 GB, 1500 mAh Li polymer replacable battery, 1080 HD video recording and other specifications would more or less be same as N8. This product could be priced around USD 450 at its initial launch...Cheers....
Tom-Helge, 04 Jun 2010I'm not trying to get anyone to buy the XPERIA X10, i'm trying to get the peoples here to wake... moreThank you tom,
yeah i see the hell ouT OF n8 and nokia.
Are you happy?
BuT i must say id rather be in hell with n8 than heaven with x10 haha
my versi0n of n8
N8-H2O water proof :p
Tom H, the more u try to make them see ur point the more they will lean towards the n8. U do have valid points abt the x10 being better bt they are hell bent on buying the n8. Guys ve been brain washed en they cnt c ur points so let it go.
Elephant Man, 04 Jun 2010Tom H its highly unlikely that you will convince any1 to buy the x10 en leave the n8. It may v... moreI'm not trying to get anyone to buy the XPERIA X10, i'm trying to get the peoples here to wake the hell up and see what the reality is about the Nokia N8 rather than assuming the Nokia N8 is awesome only because Nokia says so.
This is what i'm trying to get you peoples to understand.
Do you believe Nokia or do you believe this?: http://www.unwiredview.com/2010/05/03/interview-with-eldar-murtazin-part-1-nokia-n8-leak-market-prospects-and-symbian3/
And then this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJpEuMidcSU&feature=player_embedded
There should ring a bell somewhere now that says something to you.
Ofc, now Symbian ^3 might be a little better before it's fully released, but that doesn't change the other facts about the Nokia N8.
Tom H its highly unlikely that you will convince any1 to buy the x10 en leave the n8. It may ve a better CPU larger screen, its future proof BLAH BLAH BLAH. We still getting the n8 for sure.
Tom-Helge, 04 Jun 2010And what does a 16 GB microSDHC card cost?, 20 bucks (dollar).
Yeah, that's really expensiv... moreTom,
you always have an exceuse we accept it, x10 has better cpu thats it and because of that cpu, there are much more people that will buy n8 over your x10. And because of that cpu, many see a future proof phone like your x10 buT their going to buy n8. Because of that cpu, the phone is faster than n8, and then n8 will sell ouT over your x10.and because n8 is slower than x10 i will definitely buYing n8 over 10.
Wow a fuTure proof phone x10.
How i wish n8 is water and dust proof. :p
Anonymous, 04 Jun 2010Nokia N8:
3G HSDPA, 10.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 2.0 Mbps
WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, UPnP technology
... moreIf you wanna go that way, then fine.
Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10:
Screen: 4 inch (480x854)
CPU: Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon 1 GHz
RAM: 384 MB
OS: Android 1.6 (Soon Android 2.1 and 2.2)
Nokia N8:
Screen: 3.5 inch (360x640)
CPU: ARM 11 680 MHz processor
RAM: 256 MB
OS: Symbian ^3 (Symbian4??????????)
Yup, XPERIA X10 is much faster and better than Nokia N8.
Anonymous, 04 Jun 2010Nokia N8:
16 GB internal storage.
Sony Ericsson X10:
1 GB storage
Card slot: microSD, up... moreAnd what does a 16 GB microSDHC card cost?, 20 bucks (dollar).
Yeah, that's really expensive i must say.
33 GB with storage on my XPERIA X10 would be enough for the next 3 years after how i use the mobile phone.
Ofc Nokia N8 will have more space than XPERIA X10, but that doesn't change the fact that a normal guy today doesn't really have so much to put into his Nokia N8 that he can fill the whole space up with stuffs on a 32 GB storage that he really will be using on his phone.
Ofc, someone will do that, but i'm sure there aren't really that many of those.
