Nokia didn"t think touchscreen mobiles would be such demanding an did not join the market,an a very big mistake they have made ,as the bigger screens are superb to use,but they also thought Symbian would not get beaten an it might work o.k on Normal mobiles,but on Touchscreen mobiles not as fast as Anroid an the iPhone,so Nokia now facing more pressure on themselves an hope the big shake-up at Nokia gets them to invest in better software than Symbian or try another type of software on there mobiles,they have got to stop thinking that the good name they have they will always succede an its looks as though thats what they think all the time at Nokia,still want to see a Review of the finished version of the N8

Do you think 4g will available in all over the place in 2 years.. No man, it will take 5-6 years. In India even 3g is also not widely available.. By the way N8 also has web tv and you can watch tv from this phone.. And this phone is so small. Imagine 5" phone in your hands. Can you grab a 5" display phone in your hand properly..?

Second 6" in mobile phone is a joke.. And you are giving example of ipad, but bro ipad is not a phone its a tablet.. For me bigger than 4" should be consider as a tablet not smartphone.. And forgot that Nokia will make any Smartphone bigger than 4", its never going to happen. 3.5" is ideal on touchscreen phones.. Even I more like if Nokia will make a phone with 3.3" screen.. It will be small and easy to handle and looks good. Many phone with bigger than 3.5" looks bulky...!

This is also to anonymous, who said 6" screen a joke. Read carefully as I said screen starts at 3,5" and up to 6". There are various categories of consumers and the mobile companies want to reach as many as possible. You dont like 6" because its huge for you but there are people who dont like 3.5" as its small for them to watch movies or play games. Have you ever heard of ipad and do you know how big is the screen.

And do not give me that bs on the galaxy s, since we already benched that puppy and it underdelivered. badly. the 90 m triangles was obviously just a hypothetical speed, with reall life performance half. This one got 54 million triangles in real life. ANOTHER guy who talks about processors, and even 4G. Do you realize NOKIA is the main contributor to LTE? That this has pentaband 3G radio. Sigh. Listen, this is a great phone, maybe not the best of all time (N95 FTW) but it is a definite contender this year with the rest of the top end devices, while this is not even a top end device. The fact that it has a slower CPU is a BENEFIT and shows the efficiency of the OS.

[deleted post]i'm always looking at this mobile and reading stuff about it...but i never rate it...so even if the daily interest rate for this mobile is high it doesnt mean that the all those people who wants to learn more about n8 are rating it...simple as that...and the ratings are no longer reliable because of people who are fans of nokia and haters of nokia...people should rate the mobiles here for their specs not because they want this to be number 1...

Eg Iphone, Old technology yet still very expensive than android phone that use new technology.
Nokia offer mix of technolgy in n8, better product support and sell it at a affordable price.

Nokia got many applauses due to N97 and N8 would bring even more I think. Till date whatever has been said and shown about the phone looks amazing and would make customers excited to get it in hand. Me too will buy on the day of release (India).
Still I would say wait for GSMARENA review...

Last 2 years has not been amusing for all Mobile companies. Recession and lack of will to gamble on new technology has created a gap and losses have bogged them down. But now they are all working on 4G concept and these mobile companies have vowed to make this technology cheaper and within reach of masses. So here we are in mid 2010 and looking forward 6 months are going to be amazing with newer and capable gadgets which will be your mobile office away form office and fun which away from home. You dont have to be home to watch you favourite soccer game as you can watch live on the go by means of 4G. Some companies are working on " on time recording " which allows your gadget to record the match while you are asleep or busy in a meeting. WORK HARD AND PLAY HARD will be a motto and you wont have to pay too much for this. Cheers...

Ignorance prevail...thats what I can say after reading comments by many...this handset should have been launched last year as 12 mpx camera, 600 or 800 mhz processor, 3.5 inch or 3.8 inch screen have been available since million years already...nothing new to cheer about. Whats new??? 4G which all vendors are working hard on and will be launching handsets around end of 2010 and by 2011 4G will be flooding the markets around the world. Pay and Go watch channels made cheaper and with new battery technology you will be able to watch business news + movies and play games on line for whole day. Bigger screen in range of 3.5" to 6". Faster processors in range of 1 Ghz to 1,5 Ghz with serious Video graphic hardware. This all will be available maximum by early 2011 and earliest at last quarter of 2010. So, stop being flattered with this small and old gimmick and look forward and plan for better technology...Cheers
