hani, 29 May 2010yea u have to wait 1 year to get 2.2 by that time android 2.5 or 3 will be out LOL.Nah, i don't think that.

If Android 2.1 and 2.2 is basicly the same, then Sony Ericsson doesn't need to code TimeScape and MediaScape up from the ground. Since going from ANdroid 1.6 to 2.1 is a very big step and it's extremely big difference on how those 2 versions are.

But going from Android 2.1 to 2.2 just needs some few code changes, so if i think it will be like that, then i think it will be short time from when we get Android 2.1 on our XPERIA X10 until we have Android 2.2.

Since the only reason Android 2.1 is delayed so much is because Sony Ericsson have to make TimeScape and MediaScape and some few other things to Android 2.1, and they can't port that from Android 1.6 either. So they have to make it from the ground. That's why it takes so long time.

So they can most likely port that very fast to Android 2.2 if i'm not to wrong.

So we might get Android 2.2 faster than we might think on our XPERIA X10's.

celladik. Yes, 3d hardware acceleration helps a bit when your gonna view graphics and stuffs like that.

And like i have said earlier many times, the GPU doesn't says how fast your Nokia N8 is going to run your programs. The GPU will help you to run things much smoother but not any faster.

Does my ATI Radeon HD 4870 1 GB card says how fast i load Firefox or any games?, no it doesn't. That's the CPU's work to load things fast.

And brynn. You need a nice CPU in your mobile phone so you can run things very fast. I'm gonna say this, wait until XPERIA X10 gets Android 2.2, then we can talk about what speed is :-).

Since i don't play games on a mobile phone, then i absolutely needs a phone with the most powerfull CPU that can run things really really fast.

And Bong, like i said, most of the Nokia phones are getting abandoned after a year or something like that. Not every phones from Nokia are getting that.

hani, i'm stupid because i have valid arguments on what i'm saying?. Alright, if you want to say that, then at least prove me totally wrong on what i'm saying.

Anonymous. The thing that many peoples likes / hates Nokia N8 is simply because there are waaaaaaaay way more peoples that buys Nokia phones than someone buys phones from Sony Ericsson. And because of that, there is most likely more peoples that hates the Nokia N8 than how many in total that have bought phones from Sony Ericsson as a brand in total.

And this is how i look at Symbian ^3. First of all Symbian ^3 is nothing new. It's just a normal Symbian mostly with new UI and new graphics. So that alone is a good enough reason to not buy any phones with Symbian ^3. Ofc Symbian ^3 have been optimized a little over the earlier Symbian versions though. But that's not enough to even consider to get a phone with Symbian ^3.

Lets talk when Symbian ^4 comes out instead. But i have a big feeling that before Symbian ^4 comes out, then Android will most likely be so big and good that Symbian ^4 wont have a chance anyways.

If Android continues to grow as much as it have done the last 5-6 months in the next year that comes, then Android will take over the market. Now Android is sold on 100k units per day now. And that's pretty HUGE number.

And lastly, this is to you hani.

You can say whatever you like about MeeGo, but the thing that i like to see is if those words you are saying are true. I don't believe that for a second before i see that happening.

MeeGo might looks good and all that, but the question is, will it be popular?.

For all i know, MeeGo might be to late to be any success if Android is getting developed as much as it's getting now.

Though UI not as much good as Android, its definatly better than TouchWiz crap from Samsung. I laugh when people & even GSMarena reviewers like the TouchWiz but throw up on Symbian. GSMarena feels like Samsung has done a job never like before by mixing TouchWiz homescreen with their Symbian, Android phones. But they actually have messed up the originallity of OS by Touchwiz crap. I can feel the partiallity of GSMarena guys while reviewing UI of different OSs.
