Apple's nice and elegant(only for select few) but microsoft is for everyone. Same will transform to mobiles as well
[deleted post]Not a great comeback it must be said. iPhone is the best phone on the market by a mile and will be for years to come. Best for games, best for music and best user interface.
Satz, 23 May 2010Because have you heard of the saying , "Don't judge the book by its cover" ?Yeah I know but the problem is that all nokia phones have an almost identical UI. At least developers for SE, HTC and more make an effort to change the OS's looks from a stock standard. In comparison, it will be the same old jumper only with leather pads on the elbows...
Watch it iphoners, new champion is coming. this one really fast...perfect in all aspect...good one can not wait to buy it....
With N8, Nokia is going to do something better, smarter. N8 probably is most anticipated & hyped cellphone device by now. I can see buzz around.. Something is going to happen, I mean something really bigger. Unique & trendy design, strongest ever specs sheet, new OS.. oh I can't wait to buy one for me..
Anonymous, 25 May 2010i hope you are nor familiar with the symbian platform. if you were, you would never had said thisActually many people love the Symbian platform especially the Symbian 60 series. I am one of them. Tons of applications are available, the possibilities of what these apps can do to a phone are almost endless.
Anonymous, 24 May 2010would be cool if it wasn't symbian. symbian is terrible. would be cooler if it had android i hope you are nor familiar with the symbian platform. if you were, you would never had said this

Tom-Helge, 25 May 20101. So you say that Android for example doesn't have those nice programs like Symbian have inst... moreHi Tom,
I see you are still promoting the SE phone in the N8 thread, which is funny in itself. The reason I respond to you however is the app numbers.
Just like Android, Symbian app landscape is fragmented, so I can only give you a total. Judging from the URL's in the store, and expert insight from AAS, it is around 37k for now. Which is pretty good. For a popular model the total number of apps written specifically for that platform & resolution is around 11k now.
Of course, those numbers, just like 50k for Android do not make sense. They need to be analyzed first, removing duplicates like lite or freemium versions.
It is a matter of quality really, and in that sense 10k apps for a given phone is more than enough. The games havent been great so far, but that is because the phones had no 3d acceleration. Now that is fixed, and there is a good sdk, there is no reason to not have great games for S^3. Remember, EA & Gameloft have jumped on the MeeGo train. Those games will use Qt. Qt runs on S^3. Start to make sense?
Kristy, 25 May 2010OMG loving the Nokia N8 thinking of getting it... one question does anyone no if it has audio ... moreHey Kristy, it certainly does, and alot more. To output music you have option of 3.5mm Output, Bluetooth (which is the best, all your music everywhere every time) and FM Transmitter. And when your car audio system evolves, its HDMI ready ;)
I look forward to see some security features in it. Coz im a Samsung and motorola fan, they provide password protection for everything in the menu....
