That omnia HD was overclocked. I bet you can do the same with N8.
Here are the results from the real test. N8 is a monster. Symbian 3 is very efficient!!!

COME ON, my old N95 8GB doesn't have lens cover and it really really really sucks, I had to be carefull where I put my old N95 8GB, because of that, I upgraded to a Sony Ericsson Satio, due to the BIG camera protection and a lovely Xenon flash, and now nokia finally made a powerful symbian phone but WTF??? it doesn't have lens cover and cannot remove the battery.

Still lookin forward to the real "father" of the N95 8GB, because the new nokia symbian phones lacks are not enough powerful (Look at the rubbish N97, unable to play quake 3 arena due to the pathetic RAM and CPU and lack of 3D hardware accelerator chip)

Withouy doubt, the N8 will certainly bring a storm into the mobile world. I mean, how often can we see a phone like this? Ya, the ARM 11 processor is a bit of a let down, but hey, it can save us more battery and also cost us less when we want to purchase it. Plus, the new shell 3.5 launched by SPB for symbian touch devices is really really awesome!
One more thing about the N8, it is only 370 EURO+. Can you get any other phone with this type of spec and build for that price?

I dont know how slow/fast S^3 is, but 54% faster than Omnia HD and 400% faster than N97 seems pretty darn good on pre-release firmware to me

AH, 25 May 2010do not expect too much. symbrain system sucks, put all stuff together does not mean a great one.people would you please use your head? the n8 haven't been released yet, it has a very new OS.. why are you people saying that it will suck and it will be slow, don't judge it,, u haven't even tried it yet...
it will maybe be slow or it will maybe suck but for now don't judge it until you try it... and that goes for all the people who judge something based on their ignorance...

Ha ha ha ha people r quite emotional about a phone. If u like it, jus buy it if u dnt buy the android or iphone handset and let it be.

The peak of the iphone has come to the end. Ppl are sick and bored that Iphone user are everywhere. Now the trend is Iphone user are changing to their own favourite ph such as SE , Nokia , Samsung etc. Iphone is a trend phone .The trend is dying. Its a facts.!!!
No matter what , majority of ppl will change the phone for its design. Even the new design comnes with slight improvement , user will still go for it. Thats why Nokia SE Samsung are coming with new models after new models. Iphone ?? same same same. Ppl getting bored......

When I am left with nice choices like this phone, why would I look for phones with very basic/limited/restricted functionality such as iphone? In fact if I had one, I would have sent it to africa where people have more basic needs.

At least dev... morewhy u guys are always behind the nokia man... commmmooon.... why do u people think that nokia should change the operating system or UI.. n why u only compare the nokia phone with sony or samgung etc.. have a look in iphone. they are using same operating system in there hardware .. n there interference is also as similar as older product.. but look .. still it has a very good reputation in the market.. actually that's the trade of iphone.. similarly.. the symbian and user interference is one of the trade of nokia.. n u can not say that nokia is not doing any changes in there products.. they are.. just have a look the model list of nokia.. u'll get all types of varieties in there mobile segment.

This phone is not on sale yet, but it already registered a 1.5Million hits... awesome.
It shows that people really want this phone, and iphone user droll to N8 too :)

Anonymous, 25 May 2010Not a great comeback it must be said. iPhone is the best phone on the market by a mile and wil... moremy,my, you delusional.....iphone great music?? you gotta be kidding me......great apps yes!! though not for free, but music?? why dont you also put there great camera??wake up!! jz bcoz you so much into iphone, dont get so blinded by it.. like it or not, there are some features in N8 that are far better than Iphone,. i like both phones in their own respective ways....
