KID, 20 May 2010I'm sorry, but did you imply that N97 is using S^3 as well? Cause N97 is still using S60v5 Sym... morenobody knows....dats why i said that is risky....what is the point take the risk buying a fon dat stil in a experimental period?
Is there any link that nokia officially said symbian does not need faster cpu
im getting sick of people saying that 680mhz is not enough, get this its enough for symbian to run, get that in your think heads... ok!!!!!!
I am worried that developers are moving away from symbian. Iphone still have a great advantage. Hope nokia compete with them
Sim card and memory card are on the side. The camera design is a bit like n97 mini design. The whole body shape is like e71.
Anonymous, 21 May 2010where is the sim card slot?????????It's on the side
I have always been a Nokia fan and currently own a Nokia N95 8GB. For me, this is one of the best phones I have owned.
The 5MP camera yields excellent results.
I like the menu and the way the phone operates.
The thing I dont like about it though is the weight, bulkiness and small buttons.
What I dont like about it is the load up and loading times of some of the apps and games that i downloaded from the Ovi store.
My wife bought an Iphone 3G, 6 months ago, and I have fallen in love with that phone. I love the touchscreen, multi-threaded chat feature and the funky apps and motion control on it.
I am due for an handset upgrade soon and was keen on the Iphone 3GS but now with this NOKIA N8 I have decided that I will very SERIOUSLY consider sticking with Nokia.
I have read 30 pages of all your posts and can see a trend of concerns, so I have decided that I will wait unil it is released and keep an eye out on this forum to get people's first experiences before I make a firm decision.
Thank you all for your comments and feedback.
I look forward to hearing more.
i love this phone so much i am going this is better than apple by far nokia you r the best
benson, 21 May 2010I am not exactly a big fan of android and have sold my x10 after just 3 weeks with not too bad... moreI have said opinions that 5800 was one of the more exciting fones over past years,,never thought of buying another 5800 to put me on till n8..still using e72 as its does everything i want bar playing my previously taken vga 30fps cause it only does 15fps and wont play most of my vides OR it just plays sound...When i first got 5800 i was blown away by the free freemasons video in glorious fullscreen, sat on that plastic fold out stand thru the noisy powerfull onboard speakers,,i am hoping the n8 follows the same good hardware..
About the magnifying glass i meant the part were you press and hold over picture and this circular bubble appears magnifying the section..may be it was used in other apps since i last had 5800 which seems like years ago...The 5800 was not only a breathe of fresh air and decent but the price was really cheap..
talking abt n8......guys hav ya heard abt the upcoming samsung omnia hd2.....dont u think it will beat the hell out of n8.....it has the same fate of n97....by the time n8 releases, there will be shitload of much more capable phones out in the market.....accept it guys nokia sucks!!!! n dat to friggin big ime.....hope u like it...thank u...
