[ARM 11 680 MHz processor]
Not enough in todays world, maybe 12 months ago it was fine but in todays world its not enough.
This will be the biggest Nokia flop yet because Nokia do not listen to what customers have been asking for years and have left for other brands but Nokia thinks it knows more than the everyday general user.
Also they pinched the basic body design from LG and its Viewty Smart GC900.

Have nokia said offically that symbian does not need faster cpu and more ram?
people go and download for i8910
and all the problems you had will disappear instantly
3 times faster than any cooked ROM
100MB on C: - 177MB of Free Rom
and everything is open in a split of second
GL benchmark: i8910 vs N97 = i8910 140% more points
I will take one N8 when it comes to sales if nothing else to test its potential but I leave my i8910HD just in case :-)

Jim, 18 May 2010 A 1200 mAh,weak good will be 1500 mAh
B Symbian ^3 OS,bad one, future it's android
... moreA)1200 battery is good enough and it depend on what OS and what hardware it run.u should not judge bye what it write, better feel by exp.
B)symbian *3 is new and maybe its going to be a good future OS u can't judge it because u havent test it ur self right?andoid is good but it still run in growing pain, android user still have to install all their apps on internal memory right?and the only way to install it on ext memory is by using porting metode.so that mean u have to hack ur new mobile for that.
C)why u just read the number??if u have almost read all gsmarena phone reviews u will find it the fastest smartphone in phone galaxy is samsung omnia II.its not snapdragon 1Ghz it only have 800Mh processor.thats mean u can not judge any smartphone by only looking on specs.u have to feel it ur self.btw what the 1Ghz use for?my old PC with 1Ghz can play COD2 or rendering adobe premiere movie or convert some movie.can u use ur 1Ghz snapdragon phone to do what the old PC can do??faster UI and responsive phone not determine by CPU only.if u use enough smartphone and have enough exp on CFW flashing and modding u will realise that.
Anonymous, 19 May 2010Still dpn't get the point that symbian doesn't neeed lots ofoproc power to run smoothly...Or y... moreNo, I think you got me wrong here.
What I'm trying to say is that, I perfectly understand that symbian doesnt need a lot of power to run, so that nokia doesnt put a more powerful processor than the one used in N8. In otherwords, nokia trying to make N8 use the power as efficient as it can. That, I perfectly understand and completely agree. So, I can say that N8 is a efficient phone in terms of how it uses the power.
But, what I'm trying to say, is that an ARM 11 processor at 680, cant beat the ARM Cortex A8 at 600 (put aside power management). But the downside in using ARM Cortex, is that the iPhone become a power hungry device with a short charging cycle, and that's annoying.
But, I'm also saying, how wonderful if that someday there's gonna be a tech that could make a powerful battery with a very small dimension and not so expensive price, so that all phone could optimize their processor usage and also another things that matter, like using a powerful dedicated GPU, etc.
And we as a consumer will got the advantage even more :)

GSMArena: Macro shooting is important to many users. Can you quote a minimum focusing distance on the Nokia N8 macro capabilities?
D. Dinning: Sure, it's approximately 10cm-60cm in the close-up scene mode, otherwise as close as around 20-30cm in auto mode depending on the scene/subject characteristics.
