Anonymous, 21 May 2010i have to agree with u dat this is fon is not that bad becoz of the price....what a sad case t... moreyeah, for those who yearn a high end phone from nokia, this is a disappointment of course. But if I'm not wrong, nokia's planning to release their high end device latter this year, around Q4 maybe? Using either S^4 or meego OS.
Besides, for those who want a high end nokia phone, there's already N900 in the market. And believe me, it's a great phone.

KID, 21 May 2010Blablablah too mate, you know, your behavior is what people call hedonism, you want more and m... morei have to agree with u dat this is fon is not that bad becoz of the price....what a sad case to see nokia abandon those user with higher consumption level....nokia is like toyota targeting the affordable market....this mayb a good strategy for them to get higher profit by selling more product but its a sad case for those who had been waiting nokia for years....

i love the interview with damian! thanks gsmarena! but i still remember when the ratings of this n8 full specs page reached 9.7 9.7 9.7 then after a while it was sabotaged. WTF gsmarena! sometimes you are biased. looks like you love apple's ass!

There's what I call something that I need and something that I want, and those two are a very different things mate.
that means you dont fall into nokia's market dude, if you dont like the phone, then dont buy it.
and just so you know, there's a big difference if you talk about a desktop CPU and a mobile CPU, while in desktop, you dont have to worry about power usage (if you build your computer right of course), but in mobile world, there's a struggle that every vendor facing all this time, and it's about battery life. I wouldnt want a phone with 1Ghz processor but with a short battery life, cause that's annoying you know.
But I guess, for you that's okay, and that's why you dont fall in this N8 target, cause you dont buy phone and think about the battery aspect. Just think about your 1Gigs proc.
and besides, this phone only cost 370 euros mate, what'd you expect??? Can you find another phone better than this but with the same price???

680 mhz is enough! you say htc mondrian is better with 1.3 ghz as it is rumored but din't you even now that windows 7 is heavy itself plus the phone stuff! WTF! are you not thinking?!

On present calculation, the Processor spee... moredont expect too much from dis s^3 os you are missleading him....a new os never gonna be great taste dont be stupid......the person who buy this n8 is just a genipig of nokia....a new os needs a lot of time to be good....

As far i know, Nokia N8 has no side stereo speaker. On present calculation, the Processor speed is not enough if we compare with the other latest smart phones. And it works with s^3. Nokia will product X9 after n8 which will be runs by S^4 with 1ghz processor & 12MP camera. Possibly will've stereo speakers. For that, u have to wait till end of the year or 1Q of next year 2011.

Anonymous, 21 May 2010i own a satio...can anyone temme wethr it's d correct decision to sl it n get an n8?it's all depend mate, what u use your phone for? Cause personally I think that satio and N8 have a PAR in their hardware. But seeing that N8 has a new OS coming up, and an AMOLED screen, well, for me, I'd buy N8 if those two choices coming up, but seeing that you aleady got your hand on satio, I think it's a hard decision for you mate, is it worth for you to throw away your satio to taste S^3 OS, AMOLED screen and a slightly better camera??

Nokia is under pressure with this new software as its got to get better an faster to compete with Anroid an iPhone,an this could be the last Symbian mobile Nokia release before they switch to Windows Mobile,as they already worked with microsoft before Nokia,so the two together make Windows Mobile the Top software on Mobiles,just want to see the new Symbian 3 software an Definetly see the N8,but Nokia always to do announce a mobile early then take ages to release it,just wished Nokia would stop doing that,as all they are doing to making its Competetiors get there mobile ready to outshine the Nokia mobile,i bet Samsung release mobile on Par with the N8

Anonymous, 21 May 2010I am worried that developers are moving away from symbian. Iphone still have a great advantage... moreApple is trying to compete with Nokia by launching their several generation iFool.. umm... I mean iPhone..
But still, Nokia beats them.

i want this phone but with 48000 mhz processor... come on 680 mhz is more than enough people the only thing that concerns me is the whole stereo speaker thing
