I hope it will play France 24 live news app,,magnifying glass in picture viewer mode,,blue google icon with included apps,,active notes,,y-browser..
Its due 3rd quarter to answer person below,,i.e. july ,august ,september..Some say it will be earlier but we never know do we its just announced and thats it..The N8 along with samsung beam and wave are on my hotlist also x10 and n900 subject to price drops..To be honest and many will disagree but i dont like Android very much i think i am a nokia/symbian fanboy at heart..

Im looking forward to sell my n86 for this one... Its soo nice. More so, after reading the article bout n8 specs and cmera it got me so excited! n8 be mine!

I couldnt find any article that says so, and even the technical specification in the ARM website itself says that A8 is a single core CPU only

I just hope for the best, I hope you know what you're doing this time nokia, I'm eagerly waiting for this phone to be released

My 3310 fell into a bath-tub ful of water & it's not functioning any more. Old is gold. It has served me for the past 7 yrs wow!. N8 here i come. What a change. 11 680 Mhz processor. & wht else 12MP Camera, whaaat!! Is it a camera with a phone or a phone with a camera. I knw i was in tha stone age, but that just shows tha NOKIA gardgets are durable. THANX Nokia!!!

So its a good news because s^4 will also run on multicore processor.. I'm sure you know what I mean..!

If i were Nokia i'd release two similar phones at the end of the year , the first would be a cut down lower specs than N8 like 8 mp cam , 4\8gb int. memory .. the second would be more high end specs than the N8 like super AMOLED high res. display 480x800 minimum , 384mb ram , 1gh processor , 1500 mA batt. , 32gb int. memory ... that way i'd dominate the market beginning with low mid-range up to high-end users ... CAN U HEAR ME NOKIA !!!

And how could you be sure that S^3 will be suck? While it is not yet released?? I agree that S^1 used in N97 is not as good as other OS, that's why Nokia team developed another OS designed specifically for their touchscreen device, which is S^3.
And so you know, S^3 is now an open source OS, just like android and maemo5, and not just that, S^3 seems to be making a lot of change under the hood, so that it'll be a more efficient.
And for those who ask why nokia not using 1Ghz proc, well, maybe it's because ARM 11 680Mhz could already do the trick!! Besides, who knows if maybe nokia will boost the clock speed to 720 or even 800Mhz, just like they did with 5800 in the upcoming firmware update? And I we dont know what's the type of AMR 11 used in N8 right? cause there's 4 type of core in ARM 11 family, and nokia 5800 - N97 using the cheapest from those 4, and there's also a variant of ARM 11 which support multiple core (2-4 core), so you guys cant judge this phone yet until you really experienced it right??
so stop whining about the proc, if you dont like it then dont buy it
