B)symbian *3 is new and maybe its going to be a good future OS u can't judge it because u havent test it ur self right?andoid is good but it still run in growing pain,android user still have to install all their apps on internal memory right?and the only way to install it on ext memory is by using porting metode.so that mean u have to hack ur new mobile for that.
C)why u just read the number??if u have almost read all gsmarena phone reviews u will find it the fastest smartphone in phone galaxy is samsung omnia II.its not snapdragon 1Ghz it only have 800Mh processor.thats mean u can not judge any smartphone by only looking on specs.u have to feel it ur self.btw what the 1Ghz use for?my old PC with 1Ghz can play COD2 or rendering adobe premiere movie or convert some movie.can u use ur 1Ghz snapdragon phone to do what the old PC can do??faster UI and responsive phone not determine by CPU only.if u use enough smartphone and have enough exp on CFW flashing and modding u will realise that.

What I'm trying to say is that, I perfectly understand that symbian doesnt need a lot of power to run, so that nokia doesnt put a more powerful processor than the one used in N8. In otherwords, nokia trying to make N8 use the power as efficient as it can. That, I perfectly understand and completely agree. So, I can say that N8 is a efficient phone in terms of how it uses the power.
But, what I'm trying to say, is that an ARM 11 processor at 680, cant beat the ARM Cortex A8 at 600 (put aside power management). But the downside in using ARM Cortex, is that the iPhone become a power hungry device with a short charging cycle, and that's annoying.
But, I'm also saying, how wonderful if that someday there's gonna be a tech that could make a powerful battery with a very small dimension and not so expensive price, so that all phone could optimize their processor usage and also another things that matter, like using a powerful dedicated GPU, etc.
And we as a consumer will got the advantage even more :)

3gs has 1Ghz but IPHONE AIN'T A SMARTPHONE. compare it to a 4series and you'll get closer. IPhone just a gaming device, non impressive for mature people. ..for teenagers , maybe, cuz they still got a lot of growing up to do...

Meaning you cannot shoot video closer than 60 cm. What a joke !!! Just because they don't have the technology to make video with autofocus like Samsung and SE
Samsung Wave definitely better with video light and autofocus for video.

This phone is perfect. I've never been too blown away by touchscreen phones but this will probably be my first. Has anyone read the interview posted by GSMArena? Incredibly impressive stuff!!

Anonymous, 19 May 2010The iPhone is so much better. best phone out there. well, okay, I admit that iPhone 3GS is better than this N8, but... as for iPhone 2G and 3G, N8 win easily.
iPhone 3GS win in processor and RAM, I have to admit, even though I like N8, but this phone is not perfect yet, and maybe it's the same as any other high end phone out there, they're not yet perfected. Not now at least.
In N8 case, it lacks processor power, but, in other hand, it compensated the battery life, while other phone that uses 1Ghz processor or ARM Cortex lacks the battery life.
In my opinion, I think power supply is the major problem in cellphones industry nowadays, cause the technology to make a compact yet powerful battery isn't exist yet or still very expensive for a mass production. And when it comes the day when they can slide a really powerful battery yet very compact and efficient, and of course not relatively expensive, then that's when we're talking.
Oh, and for Iphone, I think iPhone is just a device for entertainment purposes, just like Ipod...

I don't think most people find the iPhone to be bad...it is just that it isn't in the same category as this phone. It is like having a Formula 1 car (n8) go against a nascar (iPhone) around Nordschleife
