I was reading most of the comments and I cannot understand you guys...how can you think that a PHONE can record in HD?! Don't get me wrong...I'm talking about the REAL HD clarity.Or how can you think that a PHONE can make outstanding photos?D*mn! you are easy to fool(no offence!)If you see "HD" your mind involuntary pictures THE REAL HD(like HDTV signal for e.g.)or if you see 12Mp camera your mind flies to beautiful/clear photos that equals a REAL PHOTO CAMERA!!!THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG! Compared to a 1,3 Mp old camera phone...yes, they are HD BUT compared to a HD camcorder is just junk!Beautiful,well balanced,clear etc photos,you say?Compared to a 1,3 Mp old camera phone..yes they are indeed outstanding BUT compared to a digital camera is simply a joke! Stop dreaming!Phones have too small lens, too small space to store, too small chips,too small CPU power too small of everything to be called "the real deal" Cheers! ps: it's available for ALL brands not only for Nokia!

gagan, 15 May 2010it uses BROADCOM GRAPHIC chip not POWERVR but i dont know which one is faster can any body helpwell, it depends, what type of broadcom and what type of PowerVR??
as far as I know, the graphic chip in N8 capable to render 32 million polygon/sec, while the kind of powerVR used in samsung Galaxy S is capable to render 90 million polygon/sec (but considering the price gap, it's normal)
someone posted the comparison here a while ago, and based on that, the graphic chip used in N8 is quite great, better than vivas, satio, etc...
please correct me if I'm wrong

Hart, 15 May 2010Can you change the sim card without switching off the phone.i guess that you can do like on the 5800. put it in OFFLINE mode first, change sim cards and put it in GENERAL afterwards

Main problem of nokia adverisments not everyone goes online and looks for phones some people just go to the carrier store and look for phones not the other stores which have over seas phones or unlocked.Most people go to the carrier store if they see something good they will get it since nokia's phones arent there they dont know about it

Anonymous, 15 May 2010wow... this phone still uses ARM11. The same type used in 5800. Not even an A8 processor. This... morearm cortex A8 *IS* a Arm 11 + video card (PowerVR) + sound processing chip.
nokia use of Arm11 doesn't mean't it worse than arm cortex A8. Since nokia can buy the best ARM + the best video card + the best sound processing chip. rather than buying the 3-in-1 package.

Well the specs are pretty fine except 2 main important things.1 the batt ok for li-polimers but not 1200mAh is better for it an 1500mAh LIKE n97 and the other one is the processor 680mhz this must go fine with 1ghz so fine .any way i will try when it comes to shops in september jejeje.

but if this device comes with mono speakers,this will be the first...I believe Nokia have their own standards to comply regarding their high end devices...its the brand that sells...
