Anonymous, 14 May 2010Hello , is the audio quality of Nokia N8 better than that of Nokia 5800??? Please reply.... :DNo. I think 5800 is a bit better than N8 with music...at least the bass provided by 5800 is much realistic. And mind u 5800 has stereo loud speaker while this has mono.

Bong, 14 May 2010Hi, thank you for the post. So it seems the N8 will experience some lag when opening 4-6 apps... more@Bong...actually the unit I used is quite close to the retail unit in hardware respect but only with a incomplete OS. Anyways, the video watching is cool...pretty much what you'll expect from an AMOLED screen but I guess the response time is a bit better in Samsung's screens. The fast motion movies look a bit blurry in N8 (Not much though). And the contrast could've been better. It'll take Nokia a while to perfect their AMOLED screen to 2nd gen (Samsung Omnia hd, jet, pixon12 use 2nd gen and google nexus one, Nokia N85,N86 use 1st gen like N8 and Samsung wave,beam,galaxy S use 3rd gen Super AMOLED which even beats my omnia HD and other 2nd gen by miles).

It will be so problematic while typing on this phone,especially while using nimbuzz :D,I guess this phone is not for me,C6 have great design but poor features while N8 is with great specs and poor design

Anonymous, 14 May 2010is this better than the N900?no.
N900 (a.k.a N9-00) will only be supersede by N9-01.
nokia will reserve the N9 for Meego/Maemo.
hopefully it will have a E9 twins for Meego.
so we will have 1 with QWERTY and the other device with no QWERTY.
please note that nokia won't produce device with 0 (such as N0) and 4 (such as C4).
So for each series there would only be 8 device.

Sunil, 14 May 2010Sorry dude...actually the little bulb under the Xenon flash is the Auto focus assist light...n... morethanks sunil..so its the red led light for assisting auto focus..i read some article from damian dinning..the one behind n8's camera..there's no video light because theres no room for it and it should be dual led in order to become effective video light..haha..my fault sunil..peace dude.!

And how is the experience when viewing video through the phone's screen. Anyway, since this is a prototype, then we can expect the actual retail unit to be much better right, since there is still 1 months time before the release. =D

Awesome specifications. U cant ask 4 more in 370 Euros. i dnt knw y ppl compare every nokia phone with iphone or HTC's. And if u r to compare, dont forget to mention the price. Nokia phones r lot cheaper than those phones. A number of guys will find N8 better than iphone and look it is far cheaper than iphone.

My first impression of nokia n8
the overall shape is e71 lookalike
camera part design idea is from n97mini
material used is same as n97 mini?
Volume button, camera button lock switch copy from n97
i give credit to the designer, they are great,
i think, if there are no hdmi usb-otg,then this phone will be shorter and more attractive!
