I'm really having fun reading this forum..haha, I pity the people (samsung fanboys and etc.) who force themselves and make up stories against the N8. Lol
Awesome phone at a bearable price! I'm sold!
Despite the kinda weird look it's actually quite sexy. I sure damn hope Symbian^3 isn't crappy of this would be just another nokia FAIL*sigh

well the phone has varied colours but only the dark Grey and silver white will be the best for this phone,especially black

for those who want to compare, please compare this N8 with another phone in the same price range, dont compare it with X10 or another out-of-the-range-price group....
cause I think, it's better to sort phones based on their price range...

KID, 09 May 2010owh, well, I did some quick research, and found out that there's 2 type of OLEd display, it's ... moreplus ... TFT comes form thin film TRANSISTOR .... so transistor can get old...especialy older than LED technology.
In the same amount of time that TRANSISTOR get's way more "faded" than led

OLED stands for Organid Ligt emittin... moreyes of course, OLED is the latest tech, it's just that I read that because it's using an organic material, it's causing the lifespan to become short, and going to have a decreased contrast or intensity in about 1-2 years after using. But I dont know what time was the article written, maybe it's already a few years back...
I really like this phone, so I just want to make sure everything is ok

buyers want thier phone run smoothly and have good game experience
nokia just sure your phones dop not lag, otherwise you lose customers.

OLED stands for Organid Ligt emitting Diode...and has the LOWEST power consumtion and probably longest lifespan. It's the newest and high-tech thing invented for portanble devices
You couldn't have heard such non-sense as OLED short-living TFT technology :)) TFT is outdated, AMOLED is the latest thing in technology.

Lil D, 09 May 2010AMOLED is OLED where AM stands for Active Matrix..jus a method of controlling the LEDsowh, well, I did some quick research, and found out that there's 2 type of OLEd display, it's passive-matrix OLED, and active-matrix OLED, which one N8 is using? and also, is it true that an OLED display has much shorter lifespan compared to a regular TFT?
in one of the article I read, it says that in about 1-2 years, an OLED display will have a decreased contrast and intensity. Is it true??

the competition blows this phone away in terms of cpu speed
ma... moreit has allready been discussend 1000000 times that symbian doesn't need lagre processor (power) to run smoothly...please GET A CLUE befoe posting.
Why don't you compare it with your desktop then if it's all the same to you...I guess you can;t see the difference!
