Anonymous, 05 May 2010Can 256mb ram clocked at higher speed work perfectly fine with N8......... Like a DDR3 2gb ra... moresure, DDR3 can be slightly faster, but as soon as you run low on memory then even 3GHZ DDR3 will be slower than a bigger amount of old DDR at 200MHz. And finally, memory controller latency is important, AMD K8 with DDR2 has faster memory access than an Intel Core2 with DDR3. I want more than 256MB, but hey, this is a Symbian Phone anyway so its not that usable for intensive apps to begin with, and Symbian cant perform that well under multitasking no matte what, but on N900 more RAM would have made a big big impact when running complex apps like OpenOffice under Debian or heavy multithreading. But for toys with Symbian, who care.. 128 or 256... The RAM isnt the limitation, the OS is.
Anonymous, 04 May 2010no thats wrong the loudspeaker on the back
i get that from the user manual
http... moreYou are right, the loud speaker is under the lens.
Strange location, as HP vibrations are not googd for the lens.
Khalil, 05 May 2010where 's the 1GHZ cpu from NOKIA??what r u waitingI agree with you 100%.
But I supose it's nokias marketing stratergy. Give and take here and there.
I doubt they'll ever release the "Ultimate" feature packed handset...It's how they keep the customer coming back for more.
I really like the spec sheet of the x8 though. It's left to be seen. My n97 has been less than impressive. Sat-Nav stopped working ages ago, cant download the free sat-nav as it keeps saying "Not enough memory" Camera quality is the worst camera phone I've had...The list can go on.
Can 256mb ram clocked at higher speed work perfectly fine with N8.........
Like a DDR3 2gb ram can be significantly better than DDR2 3gb ram....
Nokia N97+better screen+better camera+better video recording+new interface+new design-keyboard=Brand new Nokia N8.
(though there are many more plus points....)
will the cost of N8 go high if nokia uses 1ghz processor and 512mb or at least 384mb of ram. Can you guys explain in pure technical terms...
camera lens has'nt cover
i dont know nokia is sick or no?
why has'nt cover??????
Christi , 05 May 2010sorry for the misunderstanding I was refering to the 3,5 " screen if it is scratch rezist... moreYes it's screen scratch resistant but you can scratch it if you want. You can throw it or put it on the road and then see if the screen are ok
Every thing seems nice except the processor...All that u need with lot of applications and heavy graphics is processor speed.
sorry for the misunderstanding I was refering to the 3,5 " screen if it is scratch rezistant or not....please give your opinions!
i wish the screen was bigger...i hate borders. Screwable battery is fine just NOKIA make sure that it doesn't hang.
The things that made nokia suck these past years was the instable OS and lack of innovative apps and software support. wish that changes with symbian^3
what is the 3D Graphics HW accelerator? is it enought to rival the common PowerVR SGX?
this baby is mine as soon as comes out i will buy it good byeeeeeee iphon forever hahahaaha
i love nokia iphon is going down. nokia is flexible drag and drop any thing u want easy to use . i have iphon i do not like it
why the camera doesn't have a lens cover? does the camera scratch resistant?
