Jean, 02 May 2010Why the processor should be faster? That's the flaw in your concept in the first place. And... moreWith gaming the graphics chip is more usefull than the procceessor rendering textures and polygons etc..Using 1GHZ in a fone will really not make it faster but will hammer the battery..
I am pretty sure teenagers like decent camera in their beloved phone. They use it in the clubbing, and birthday party and some events, nokia can market n8 in this occasion
""Nokia phones always look cheap like toys when even the cheapest Samsung looks very classy and expensive.""

Jean, 02 May 2010Why the processor should be faster? That's the flaw in your concept in the first place. And... moreYeah and in the case of Symbian in the N8 it doesn't need XXGHz to function real well because of the simplicity of the UI. If you want flashy UI's then get a samsung or something.

That's the flaw in your concept in the first place. And a flaw in Nokia's concept of smartphones.
If you consider you will only use the phone as shipped from the factory, you would be right. But that was one year ago.
Now the phones are turning into mini pcs. You can change your UI, download powerful apps(that can stress the processor), games... etc.
Could you ask the same question for a PC? If yes, then it would be the same for any smartphone.
Nokia should fire their design team. Nokia phones always look cheap like toys when even the cheapest Samsung looks very classy and expensive.
And as people are tired of old looking Symbian, Nokia's future is not bright.
not the best design but it's acceptable.
hope there is no more double taps.

You just showing yourselves up talking about slow C.P.U...The cpu is really the last component in a smartfone to show how fast the o/s will operate..With nokias customised optimisation of symbian 3 and better amount of RAM the proccessor will be fine..What are you wanting 1GHz for please enlighten us..
Thats national geographic icon on front screen ? Could that indicate sky tele integration,,after all surely if it was just a link to the website u would use a bookmark..
its very good for the cellphone in 2010....xenon flash can take a picture in the no lighting
Nokia needs to wake up to the game. This is half a step in the right direction; having hopefully a stable OS and the hardware to do pretty much anything. But Nokia, being Nokia, will probably release it with a lot of bugs and take 2 years to fix them. I have had my N97 for 7 months, I think it has gotten worse, the only good thing they added was kinetic scrolling, but the phone should of had this in the first place. Symbian should be pushed into mid-low range phones, and once release, MeeGo should be in mid-high end phones. Hopefully this MeeGo OS turns out as promising as it lets out to be. Having both Intel and Nokia behind a Linux OS could only be a good thing. They just have to entice developers. I'm one person who is gonna wait and see how MeeGo plays out, as Maemo 5 already looks pretty good. WTF is with everyone bashing each other... iphone this, android that, nokia sucks at this, windows mobile is better at... Honestly, who cares? We are all allowed to pick a phone that we think is nice and different from others; we're not a flock a sheep...
