Guys. Should I upgrade to nokia 808 or should I rebrand my n8? N8 and 808 which one is good.. And will I get the n8 features in 808. Needs your attention guys
I was about to give my Nokia N8 to my nephew cause I'm losing hope on upgrading it to Belle (can't use Phoenix and Recovery tool on Windows 8.1. But someone from our group in Facebook posted a link for an app store still supporting on Symbian and was able to download and install apps on my N8, going crazy again :D
Still my primary phone, and it's probably the best and most beloved of my collection. Four years and still kicking! Flashing CFWs and modifying the software helps hugely to keep the old Symbian OS smooth and useful into 2016.
Aadrian, 14 Mar 2016Rising populariy again for the king N8.Why not. :-)
Last week I plugged a computer mouse into a USB on-the-go cable and then into the N8. A cursor appeared on the display and I could use the phone with a mouse, surfing the internet with Opera Mini it's so easy to click on links etc. We had two Androids here but it didn't work on them. Crazy phone. :-)
Rising populariy again for the king N8.

Last one is Belle Refresh, 111.040.1511 but if you don't have it... Who knows. You might try to install Delight, but apparently it's not so easy.
I just bought one that was factory reconditioned... It's stuck on the original OS, how do I update? Microsoft dropped OTA and suite updates as of Dec 2015.
Great phone !!!
This phone is the best phone I' ve never used. After swiming in android arena for years. This phone is the best.
4 years back, I had N8. Used iphones and Presently using Galaxy S6. But N8 was my best phone ever. It's camera, battery life, telephony, music quality everything was great. No phone even uptill now could come close to N8. Still I becomes amazed to see old pictures taken with N8 camera.
Mr Damia Dining deserves lot of appreciation for its camera design. Hope someone may again produce such a great phone for 2016.

How time flies... I bought my N8 on this day, 3 years ago, and I'm still happy every time I take it out of my pocket. And I bought it second-hand. Few thousand photos in every possible condition, countless hours of Wi-Fi, internet, talk, messaging, Skype (while it was supported), games, customization, and sometimes I don't have to reboot it for a month. I only had to replace the original battery, but I got a replacement for 4 Euro from the internet. Other than this, it just keeps on working. Best phone I'll ever have.

I'm still using it! It's camera is so good that only now iPhone just managed to match it - 2016!!!
I have seen a dual SIM tool from simore for N8. Did any have tried this kit? Is it possible to make both dual SIM work at a time on N8? like modern day dual sim phones work?
AnonD-20890, 29 Feb 2016The 1 minute of 720p camera video at 30 fps takes 88 MB in G3 D855, 62 MB in Nokia N8 and 51 M... moreThat's very interesting. Could be a number of reasons, maybe different image compression for individual frames (it doesn't have to mean higher or lower quality, just a different approach), or different audio quality. It would be interesting to film exactly the same thing on all 3 phones and see what happens. Like, a completely black or completely white surface in complete silence.
Even single photos taken with the N8 can be between 1 and 3 MB, depending on how much detail is in them. By default, the N8 saves them in 85% quality because they did a research and nobody could notice a difference between 85% and higher with their bare eyes. However, if you take a 1 MB photo in 85% quality and save it in 100% quality it can have 3-4 MB, the file is larger but nobody could tell them apart. So Nokia chose this setting to save on space and improve speed.
I started using Nokia N8 since it's was on the market !
Don't know why i stopped for a N9 ?
I think i will reuse it again, because ot's a nice product.

paralou
