I am just amazed seeing the popularity after two years hitting 40% and more amazed how the quality old hardware managing its with its new os.just amazing.

check out the daily interest!!!! its 40% !, 1 month ago it was only 19%....by the way i have a question, plz tell me..does this phone support all n8fanclub hd games? because some user says that many of those game are corrupted.

I just "fight" with people not knowing but bragging about:)). Ok, i'll try to tell you shortly why i like nokia. First off all, i respect the invested experience and quality, i won't sell so easy a brand like nokia for a brand like samsung. Not in milion years. Just because samsung adopted android doesn't mean they make good phones. With 0% mobile experience (in my opinion), how good can their gadgets be. They are also quite cheap, working with cheap materials but at high price just because is android and is an dual-quad-blabla-core... is kind of nasty nasty job. Sgh...sgh2...or3 are below 20$ devices and all the money are based on their system, their cpu and ram. Which this days aren't so expensive>:). this is just the short part o "WHY i wouldn't"...:)

Apart from the hardware, N8 has the best design of all Nokia phones...

If you wanna buy a phone for playing games i'd say, only for you to be shore that you are not out of games:)), go for sgh2. I won't buy it, but i admit android has more games than symbian, allot more.

sars, 07 Sep 2012thanks again for ur help.about music quality what do u suggest?? does it work on 701? i have a... moreYou are right, a bigger cpu and more ram are not gonna be very noticeable in symbian belle interface, but it would be noticeable in surfing the internet or opening more apps, also in playing games (but... there are plenty hd games, working without problems in n8) The systems are the same, so when comes to music, the quality is the same. Ok maybe better on 701 because of the fp1 which brings Dolby digital. There is also a mod for n8, but i don't know how much Dolby is in that sound. The speakers and headphones are quite the same. I got my n8 packed with wh-701 headset. You, kind of covered them all. So at the end is your choice:). N8 has better camera, hdmi port, better display etc. 701 is newer, and at some points is better, also has nfc (if you need it). I like more the n8 because of the design and the camera, and the anodized alu body(ok, hdmi port and 16gb mem :Dto). To tell you the truth i would give this phone only for it's big brother, 808. The belle fp1 has allot of improvements, more eyecandy UI. Belle refresh is also well done, but it's ui is not changed, only in some apps and has some new widgets. I won't mind having an 701 ider, but i won't give my n8 for one. So, it is only your choice. We cannot choose for you. They are nokia, so both are good devices. You can trust both...so!

Carol, 07 Sep 2012Nokia 701 has some good advantages: nfc, better battery, better cpu, better ram, bigger intern... morethanks again for ur help.about music quality what do u suggest?? does it work on 701? i have a sony dslr cam and i dont care about cam.what is really important for me now is music quality.they are the same.two cable and 8 gig memory plus hdmi port i would miss by buying 701.speaker sound and the better headphone too i think.(there is no good game on any phone except ios.so i decided to buy a hardware phone.software is enough in symbian even games.)
what i think is that the better cpu on 701 is not gonna do any better comparing to n8.but maybe fp1 or fp2 is.im confused.thanx again.

hello guys im nishant ds side from india delhi....
I hav notice abt the blutooth different specification of n8 in nokia site .i.e blutooth 2.1 wid EDR and in gsm arena showing blutooth 3.0 wid A2DR
pls let me know dat does nokia has downgraded its blutooth conectivity from all previous nokia n8 sets to new ones dat is used to cum wid blutooth 3.0 to 2.1 as it realeasd 2-3 yrs back....??and wats d difference...

But has some disadvantages: mediocre camera, lcd display ( n8 has amoled, way better) smaller mass memory storage (8gb), verry ugly:). I would peek the 701 with n8' camera and design:)). If the camera is not so important to you and it's design doesn't bother you, i recommand 701. But if the camera is more important... N8 does a verry good job at it's age, and with the new belle refresh.
