Carol, 08 Aug 2012Correct again, still doesn't work... Sh*tit works for me just fine using the latest version from Nokia Store:):) U just have to log out from fring every time before u close the app i you want to work.
P.S If u have installed fring on your N8 try this it works 100%
Instal x-plore after installin x-plore go to c:\system and delete the folder named 03081978 it should work ;):)

No Worries if lost in middle of update...
1)If in warranty still ..go to Nokia Store nearby and get updated telling update failed via Nokia suite
2)IF not on warranty...
a)Download Phoenix tool for Nokia
b)Firmware rm-596 for N8 or any other custom firmware from NAVIFIRM tool downloads
c)Disable antivirus on desktop and install Phoenix tool clean..
d)take the files downloaded to program files\nokia\phoenix\products\RM-596 from NAVIFIRM downloads
e)Connect phone in USB mode and open Phoenix and select no connection,also on file open product select RM-596 and in tab select flash firmware..check dead USB flashing and select the file.
f)hit refurbish option and wait let it do the job flashing again..
Chill your done ...brand clean install..
No data is lost on E: and memory card

2 years using n8.. fully satisfied.. using anna os.. hate belle.. but love to get 808 pureview....... its all about xenon flash..
