is typing text message better than nokia 5800? i have hard time composing text message on capacitive touch screen phones like nokia C6 and samsung corby 2

This phone can do the same as other phones but very good camera as well as video recording. I upgraded my friend's phone to Symbian Belle. Problems are sometimes it freezes and won't turn off or reboot. You have to wait a day and empty the battery before you can use it if it happens like freezing. You can't remove the battery not like any other phone when you can encounter problems like that. Just do not multi task with torrent downloads and internet surfing or you'll end up freezing and waiting a day (not always but sometimes only) But user experience is good. I also like the vibrating mode when you are typing on the phone screen, screen is moving. By the way my phone is Samsung Galaxy s2. :)

there is no option in Nokia N8 to make a video call from any messenger accept fring .no other messenger like yahoo, capable to do a video call

mowaten, 20 Apr 2012why???? symbian belle is very efficienthi frnd,
reason why i want to degrade is-
1.N8 has 256 MB RAM (phone memory)
2.Symbian belle is using half of the memory (even after deleting phone memory occupying apps of Nokia belle)
now due to the above situation whenever i install a 3rd party software in phone ,the basic functionality like call or SMS stops working due to reducing phone memory or RAM
To resolve this i am always left with only 1 option i.e. reformatting
i am an app freak person but this limited RAM refraining me from having apps on my device
if you have any solution to this problem please share
your inputs are highly appreciable

Been an Android user for a while, last Nokia used was the excellent 5800.
From what I have experienced, Android and iOs are good at everything other than offering simplicity when communicating.
For example many complain about the physical unlock key and red / green call buttons that were present on early nokias bit yesterday I realised how actually useful they were rather than all those fluidity, Widgets and other stuff they keep on praising nowadays.
For example while walking on a road,if you want to take a call quickly without paying too much attention or slowing down the old and current symbians are much more hassle free than those Androids and iPhones with their fancy fluid UI's and lockscreens.
No offence, Android and iOs have great apps and specs but their advances in technology have come at the expense of these little but important things we have cherished for so long. After all smartphone or not, the primary objective of a phone is communication with ease.
Going to get a Nokia N8 or a 701.
Coming from a Sony Xperia Mini. Have used iPhone 4S as well.
Love Nokia.

Navifir... moreyou need to downgrade to the Scandinavia service fw first then go to what version you like,If you flash with another fw you will brick your phone,so read carefully what they say.make sure no other Nokia Software is running on your Computer when flashing.If something goes wrong dont panic,you can always use "dead phone flashing".good luck.

Just use Google to see Belle bugs , do not fool newbies if you're just making calls or impressed with i-look of Belle. See Nokia Discussion forum. I will also help anyone who wants to downgrade to Anna, cause you deserve a functional device.

If you will downgrade belle to anna, you will loose your waranty.
Let me tell you how to use your phone as computer. At your home, you may be having a tv, sdtv or hdtv, it can be connected to both. It will become your monitor. Now you need keyboard and mouse. Buy a usb hub. Connect with on the go usb port. Now you have 4 usb ports. Connect usb keyboard, usb mouse and pen drive. You can also connect with bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mouse but they are costly. Now your computer is ready. The only weakness is browser, download opera mobile browser. You should be smiling now. You can open any mobile site and even desktop sites. The only weakness in opera, it is not supporting flash. You can use original broswer for that. Now you can edit word and excel files in it. You can make your resume, write a letter. As far as video calling is concerned, you can watch caller in your tv screen. You can watch youtube videos on your tv. I am watching comedy circus. It is fun. As on today, even second generation phones have come, but there is no match of this. There is no substitute. Even nokia 808 perview is not as good as n8. You never know tomorrow. N8 with anna. Fantastic. Gr8 phone.

I think it will void your warranty. Try to go Nokia care centre and ask them to do. They refused to me and said it can not be downgraded. Then my warranty expired. I managed with the help google search. You can do also. Ashok Soni a great person, he has developed delight belle v5.2. Custom sotware for this phone. On his site there are needed files they will explain how to install. All these files are zip. You need .7z unzipper less than 1 mb. Ashok soni's needed files are also small 1 mb. But make sure download his delight belle v5.2. In case your phone is broke. This software will give life to your phone. Try to found navifirm 1.5.2 and phoenix cracked 2012 on google. This is not small thing. You have to work hard. Once you know then it is easy. I downloaded delight belle all files and phoenix on my n8, then I transferred to my computer. Make sure download one file and then transfer to desktop or laptop. Earlier it was a hassle for me, but now it is small thing. Go ahead as if you want or stay if you want. Because news are coming their will be belle feature pack in last of june. I am adventures kind of peoole. I can not stay and wait, because you never know again nokia will increase the date.
