NIEL, 30 Mar 2012i am confused between n8 and samsung galaxy s 2....please suggest, which one would be better!!... moreListen, I used to be a die-hard fan of Symbian (before Belle update). I own both N8 & S2. I can assure you, buy S2 instead, it'll pay you for your money. N8 will NOT have anymore updates (Carla or Donna), but S2 will get ICS soon. Someone in this forum told me once that using the S2 is like using a billboard. But now that I'm using full version of the softwares, I'm loving every second of my time with my S2. I used to keep my N8 as my primary phone & S2 as my secondary, but now the scenerio is just the opposite. I use N8 just to capture great pictures. That's all, N8 is a very good point and shoot camera. But to use a phone in regular basis, go for S2. Sorry Nokia/Symbian fans, I just am putting my real opinion. If you go back and check my previous posts, you'll see that I'm the one who created the line "Keep N8-ing". Now N8 is history. It was once a good phone, served well, but now is almost nothing. On the other hand, S2 is still going great. But hey, don't forget about the PureView 808, it's worth buying if you have the budget.

Omar Mohamed, 30 Mar 2012No!, It does but via File Manger.No, that's not true. I have updated (unfortunately) to Belle, but still my N8 plays flv files. I just checked again after reading your comment.

Yes of course, but its graphics capabilities became by the time below average, for example some games play at only 18 frame per second ( I think Asphalt 5).
However, there are good games to play (Real Football, Real Golf, Assassins Creed, Asphalt 6, angry birds, Worms HD ....)
you can visit Nokia store and choose N8 and see more...
but all in all if you want an HD gaming device it`s definetly N0T the N8.

does anyone know if N8 suports EAP-TTLS+PAP network configuration with certificate?
i'm thinking of moving on from my old N78 which doesn't connect to wi-fi in my university, so if n8 also doesn't do it it's better choosing another phone :/

Nokia Carla screenshots leaks, show new browser and keyboard

The upcoming update to the mobile Nokia OS, carrying the codename "Carla", shows up in screenshot form. The screenshots don't show much, however, you can get a taste of what the update is going to bring.
First, there's the new on-screen qwerty keybord, which seems to have been inspired by its Windows Phone cousin. The Nokia Browser has also been updated to a new version, which features some new UI improvements.
But the most noticeable change comes from the lock screen. Gone is the classic Unlock Button, and replacing it is a Swipe to unlock method. The user interface of the Music player also sees some improvements in the form of a refreshed UI, as does the Options screen, which borrows the looks of the Meego Harmattan UI.
The Nokia Carla OS update is reportedly destined for the Nokia 700, 701, 603 and the Nokia 808 Pureview. Unfortunately, the update won't be coming for the 1st generation Symbian^3 phones such as the Nokia N8, E7, C7 and C6-01.

nokia n8 has th best phone ii nseries with nokia which as a lot of functions whit no other brand has tis type of features and n8 has nw price drop under th range 18500 only its amazing .

you are talking about delight belle, which is developed by an Indian diamond sitting in New Delhi. Of course he is may be doing a great job, but what nokia is doing? Where is that honest man Ray, after release of belle he is in coma. Now samsung already released such kind of phones only for China, which has 2g+3g+gsm+cdma+big screen+1080p recording+tv out+flash player full. That's why nokia failed in China. India and China both are big market for mobiles. Now samsung is planning to wash nokia from India too. Actually nokia is itself going down and taking help of microsoft. Why nokia is hiring nice_soni_ash ? It is internal matter of nokia but my concerns is why nokia is not giving link to switch back to anna. I know it was freezing some time, but it had all the features and it was ok. Now in belle they may be increased the speed of processor from 680 Mhz to 1 Ghz or not sure. But without full features will we lick the processor. Time is near when there would be lock on nokia. Untill unless they will not make n8 successful, who will buy new nokia phones. These are n8 user they will decide fate of nokia. I spent a lot of money at that time but now see the price of n8 in the market. Where is the link of nokia if they are doing anytning for n8.

NIEL, 30 Mar 2012i am confused between n8 and samsung galaxy s 2....please suggest, which one would be better!!... moreIf you goes out alot, gather with your friends/family alot ,visit alot of places and love to take pictures and memorable videos for all of these, then N8 is way better.
On the other side, if you stay at home or work more, love to watch movies and browse internet on bigger screen, love to pass your time with alot of HD games, then Galaxy S II is better.
It all depends on your needs...
