If you are active, and you don't want to think about how and where you leave your phone, or how to keep it with you while running/biking.. then the N8 is the clear choice. Not even going to mention the superior camera.
If you want a toy to play games on, and watch movies.. the GS2 is your phone.

NB: Belle is more recent but N8 will be upgradeable to Belle very soon.
So N8 has better camera but that's about it. I'll advise you go for 701 mostly because of the faster processor and more RAM.

This sounds like the memory location where your photos are stored (either E: Mass storage or F: SD card) has become corrupted. This can happen when the phone is connected to a PC in Mass storage mode and is removed without first using the "Safely remove hardware" feature in Windows. You'll most likely need to perform a *#7370# reset to reformat the E: drive (if that's where the pictures were stored) or just simply re-format the SD card if they were stored on there, without the need for a *#7370# reset.

Dear N8 lovers, i too love my N8. Most of you worried about hanging. While hanging, all told abt going for hard reset by pressing 4 keys simultsneously.No need. My N8 also rarely hanged ,tat time i pressed both POWER KEY &MENU KEY few seconds for restart.simple method without loosing anything. Plz post feedbacks. Regards, Imayam,TAMIL NADU

Hope you can help me out with this issue.
When i go to my default photo browser i can find some breaked images in it, I am not able to view or delete it . When i try to delete it gives a error message
"Systems error".
I want to know is this common or my mobile is affected due to some virus ..It is really annoying to see such images in my photo browser

Hello there,
Firstly, to delete applications from your phone you can either go to Settings > Application manager > Installed apps and scroll down to the one/s you want to remove. Hold your finger on the app until a pop-up menus appears and tap uninstall. Alternatively, go to your applications folder and press Options > Edit then the screen will change to a grid view. Hold your finger on the app you want to remove until a pop-up appears and tap Delete. When you've finished press Done at the bottom to return to normal view.
If you need to delete files from C:, E: or F: (if you have an SD card installed) use the phones file manager to locate them and once again hold your finger over the file until the pop-up menu appears and selct delete.
Now, moving onto the Belle update. Have a read of the following website to see if the update is for you.

Ray.Have a good day Ray, i just want to know from you about the software. Which is better the symbian anna or the symbian belle. You said symbian belle will release this coming february. If it is good than anna i upgade my phone from anna to belle? Second, how can i delete some download application. i tried thru computer but it doesn't worked. I hope you can give me a tip.

Md, 20 Jan 2012Sorry folks,but i really dont know why u guys are complaing soo much about nokia n8...cz me an... moreyour problem is my problem too before, but i will give you a tip. Just open the settings then open connectivity, then open setting again you see the Data use in home country then select WLAN only, or Always ask.then back to settings again you will see at the top the network tap it then you will the network mode then choose GSM not 3G.

Enrique, 24 Jan 2012but why do I see the others have already upgraded their phone symbian belle?They have the leaked version not the official.I guess it will come by feb and dont install the leaked 1 it can damage ur phone..:)

Those who have upgraded their N8's to Belle have flashed their phones with a leaked unofficial version of Belle. You can try the same if you really want to, or wait for the official update due in February.
