Nokia N8 - user opinions and reviews

Mr Ray,
I just bought N8 a week ago, here in Vietnam the product code is 0599256. I want to know if this product is genuine nokia N8 made in Korea. I was satisfied for everything, the only thing i wonder why is the headset. The sounds is bad, just like an ordinary cassette player not a dolby player. Do you think the headset i got was not good or i need to buy another headset? Second, why only a short HDMI cable included in the box, how can i connect it into tv. I need another extension cable from HDMI cable to tv. Is there available extension to any nokia store?
Thank you, and hoping for your prompt answer. For me this phone is best specially the camera. I just want to solve the music output problem because i love listening a song. thanks again.

jc , 14 Jan 2012Hey guys.. hi to all N8 users, specially to Ray who is so kind to help other people,. My conce... moreyou can send email to NCC regional centre for complaint. Advised to use 'proper words' to wake them up. I did once 1 year back when my N8 dead due to PCB issue. I believe regional NCC will push NCC brances to take the reported issue with immediate action seriously. I believe Nokia is taking care their customer, only irresponsible people who ruin their reputation.

Hey guys.. hi to all N8 users, specially to Ray who is so kind to help other people,. My concern now is might be they same with others...you know guys im so happy and satisfied as a user of n8 before, but i was so disappointed with some nokia care here in the Phil. eversince i am truly nokia fanatic. my n8 was just around 2 months old, then suddenly some defect in my LCD, so i ask them to clean it and then later they gave me my n8 but with very unpleasant purple color.. i bet their technicians are betraying our trust to them, what they are showing? do they want us to change our handset instead.

to Ray... plz help me. last time I went to Nokia Care to consult something and then they told me to clean the LCD, so they did that but they gave my n8 with purple instead, I return it to them.. until now im waiting for their txt, now Im quite comfused, are our mobiles is in good hands with them, or some of their men are destroying our trust to nokia care. u know im glad say that using n8 is a chance of a lifetime as im still living, but plz dont ttry steal it from me. pls pls pls pls.

Dear all who're wondering what are the differences between Anna & Belle,
1) Belle Notification Bar
It's a great step ahead. You get a notification pull down bar from the top - See the screen shots in the below link - it's like in android, provides key short cuts to basic few features like Bluetooth, Network connections, wifi etc..
2) Widgets
You can add many widgets to your home screens which has several shapes & sizes unlike anna widgets. (Weather widgets, Music player widgets, News widgets, 3G on/off widget, wifi on/off widget, bluetooth on/off widget, favorite contact widgets, maps widgets etc..)
3) You can have as many as 10 home screens
(It's good to have this feature but actually not that useful.. Eg: I'm only having 4 home screens..)
4) Home screen & Menu in the same process
This is quite useful because RAM management has been so much better now and navigating between home screen & menu has been so much smoother and sleeker.
5) Improved OVI Maps
Including satellite navigation, better multi touch & more country maps
6) Improved web browser
But still I don't like it. I always use Opera Mini
7) Three button at the bottom of home screen & menu instead 2 buttons in anna
There's a search button in the middle
8) Split screen text input
The keyboard appears with the input text itself. (Half keyboard & Half application interface..) This is a very later arrival to symbian and I'm glad at least now we have it.. (But for some programs it doesn't always work.)
9) Improved camera interface
But I still prefer to use 'CameraPRO' application instead
10) Improved kinetic scrolling
Most of the applications which work in anna will work in Belle as well. And as for the statement 'whether Belle get installed in Mass Memory instead phone memory?' No.. That's not happening.. (And will Never happen.. Symbian OS needs NAND memory which is way too faster than Mass Memory. But I got free space of 220 MB in phone memory after fresh installation of belle.)
Belle is faster, smoother and gives you a definitely better user experience than any other Symbian OS has give so far. I can assure that.

hi, I've done updating the firmware to the latest v.25.007 anna...after updating all the update 1 & 2, i found that my play via radio ( FM TRANSMITTER ) went missing from my N8, i already reboot to its original factory setting, to dismay, its still not there...previously it was there and i enjoying listening songs thru it via my car stereo..can anyone pls help me....

dear sir simbian auna software ok but writing key pad is very small i dont like it pls update this problem sir then other wise ok
