After a year, I finally bought it on December via www , 302euros but the phone was made 4Q 2010 !! Upgraded to Anna!
I'm not that satisfied as an upgrade from SE P1, as I hoped I’ll be.
0- Cold on first touch (aluminum in winter time)
1+ managed to safely copy my SE contacts etc.
2- Not easy to change language, 3 presses or, install OVI software ( found 2 freee in OVI)
3- No canceling or ESCaping key for wrong input/changes
4- removing one of 4 shortcuts, all 4 go.
5- Speed dial 1, is badly reserved for voice mailbox (let me decide this)
6- in Contacts, Notes field display is Extra Small and no way to scroll as in SE P series and Xpreria (Hope Belle fixes this)
7- in Calendar, deleting repeated entries, no choice to delete forward or backward ones (should make this one work).
8+ Search works, GPS works, Office works, PDF works, radio transmitting music works, but quality poor.
9- Sometimes it does a delay in responding.

i want to know that facebook games farmville or cityville etc can be play on N8 device...
i m unable to play bcoz of flash player error

Guys....N8 is a monster...im simply in love with it....Just have this thing in my mind....if I were to buy Nokia N8....jus wondering how long will it have value in the market or will all the N8tizens will b considered outdated
Whatever happens...N8 rocks its my favorite (ALL TIME)

To make maximum free space in C drive. Just open your opera browser click on O (bottom right hand corner) then go to download. Clear all the download even nokia store if you do have. Because you have installed everything. This is unnecessary download files here in C drive. Remove cache as well as history also. I think you would be smiling now.

Today i got my N8 back from Nokia Care point in Estonia. At the end of last year, i don't know how, i broke my headphones connectors tip (not nokia) into my N8's headphones plug. I took it into nokia care point and they said that maybe they have to change the motherboard. I also mentioned the purple tint issue (it actually didn't bother me alot). Today i got my N8 back. Seems like they gave me a new N8. They changed my phone even though i think it was my fault that the headphone connector broked into the headphone plug! I'm very pleased with nokia support! And also i'm very pleased with my nokia n8. The new phone still has the purple tint issue, but the screen seems better. Phone is fast and works like a charm. I have used android a bit, but still, symbian fullfills all my needs!

So i have read about cleaning the browser's cache to free up more space on the C: drive but can anyone please tell me where this is located and of any great FREE apps on Nokia Store to use on N8?

Hello Drew.
I'm glad you're happy with Anna. But to answer your question about flash videos, the N8 only has Flash lite 4 installed so is only compatible with flash 10.1 videos such as Youtube. The problem is that most other flash video sites have been updated to to more recent versions of flash, so the N8 won't be able to play them. Also, there won't be an update to full Flash 11 for the N8 unfortunately.
You can install two versions of Opera for the N8, Opera mini and Opera Mobile. Mini is optimised for 3G connections and Mobile for Wi-Fi connections. It doesn't hurt to have both versions installed and use whichever one you need to depending on your connection type at the time.
You mentioned in another post that you are having issues with low C: drive space. Anna actually installs certain applications to your C: drive as part of the update. MS communicator, Quick Office, Adobe Reader lite and Shazam. As long as you still have around 70 to 80 MB's left it won't impact the phones performance. But, to free up some space make sure you regularly clear out your messaging folders, email folders and your browsers cache. You also need to make sure that Nokia store is set to install new applications to mass memory or a memory card. This can be done by going into your account settings within the store client on your phone.

Is there anywhere I can watch flash videos on my N8? Even the standard browser can't play such videos.

To find the software I have listed you can search in mobile9.com...
First you select your mobile as N8 and search in 'Software' category..
You'll find every app but remember, some of those apps are cracked ones even though originally they're not freeware..
It's your decision whether to go for cracked apps or pay the effort of the developers..
(Since you're searching in a site where you can find 'cracked apps' please be alert on unwanted apps as well.. You might see several apps for the same name in which only one or two will work successfully... Read the user comments for more details..)
Hacking your phone is Highly recommended before installing apps... Please don't complain me if you get error messages when installing if you didn't hack your phone...

manaf, 08 Jan 2012hallo mr.ray .there is any diffrence have nokia n8 like, dark grey,silver,green,blue? Manaf, yes it has. The obvious different is the colour of the body itself. Others all same.
