The developers of Skype (not Nokia) have decided not to allow video calling with their app. The only possible solution to this is if Skype update the app to include video calling.

According to the servers the latest available version for product code 059D373 Country Variant Croatia HR Dark Grey is 22.14. Are you sure you have typed your product code correctly?

Unfortunately you cannot use the Xenon flash as a video light.
The default web browser should have an address bar at the top of the screen (if you've updated to Anna) but I can't remember how the old browser worked in P.R. 1.2 if you are still on that version. Either way I would highly recommend you install Opera Mini and/or Opera Mobile. Mini for surfing over 3G and Mobile for surfing via Wi-Fi. Both browsers are far superior to Nokias browser and they're both free.

I have reviewed the N8 and hardware is much better than my N900.
Meego are working on putting a Nexus One
"Adapting to Maemo or Meego N8? I think it would be a great device. I've been running Symbian and I think it is wasted.

@Ray, thanks for helping me to determine which phone to buy.i also would like to know that can we use n8's camera's xenon flash as video light?Also the web option in my n8 has a problem.whenever i tap onto d web option it connects itself to google.com giving me no chance to surf my any favourite site(i.e. it has no ENTER ADDRESS option).how can this be solved?plz plz plz plz plz reply me mr. angel.....thanks........

Dear friends,
I strongly suggest all of you followings..
1) Install Belle CFW with Hacked ROM
2) Use Free i-SMS for conversation type SMS instead of default software
3) Use Opera mini (not opera mobile which is laggy) instead of default browser
4) Use fmobi for facebook chatting etc...
5) Use mobile documents for push emails
6) Use OVI maps for navigation (Don't forget to download your country maps via PC)
7) Use FontZoomer for changing fonts and replace the default font by HumanSans
8) Use CameraPro for photo shooting (It's 1000 times better than default app)
9) Use Slide Answer V4 to avoid accidental drops of calls
10) Use icon changer to change icons
11) Use Killme app instead of default taskmanager to kill unwanted applications in the background
12) As an extra, install NFS Shift HD game (which is free) for 3D gaming
If you do the above all, then you'll not have so many complaints about N8 anymore..

Hey, guys using Belle, is the kinetic scrolling very fluid and much better than in anna...cos after using a samsung device, i feel my n8 scrolling is so 1990...so laggy and slowwwwww...

Anonymous, 06 Jan 2012ray contact nokia the N8 has a 2year warranty, they should be able to replace free of charge.
The warranty period of the N8 in South Africa is 12 months for the handset and six months for the battery.

I've just checked your product code and can confirm that Anna version 025.8 is available for your North American Green N8.
If you are still interested in updating your phone I'd recommend using the latest beta version of Nokia suite that I mentioned and linked to in my previous post.

hi guys.... N8 is an absolute cellphone of Nokia everything is good bt onli 1 thing i must share with those users who r using dis phone for txt msging.. is that the qwerty keyboard onli available in landscape mode bt not easy in using... there i must remember my Iphone keyboard...... aaaah

I'll check your product code this evenng when I get back home from work. In the meantime, Belle will run very smooth on the N8, no problem. The good thing about Symbian is that it doesn't need high system resources to run efficiently.
