Hello everybody, I am choosing from nokia n8 and nokia 701. I don't know which one to buy. The pros of 701 is cpu and from n8 side is camera. I really would like to hear your opinion which one to buy. Thank you really much

The reason why so many people are flashing their N8's with the leaked version of Belle is because it's easy to do and in general, people can't wait for the official release.
I personally haven't flashed mine (couldn't be bothered) but I have flashed my Galaxy S loads of times with leaked firmwares and custom ROMs because it does transform the way the phone performs as well as look and feel.
Also consider that the N8 is over 12 months old now so a lot of people no longer have a valid warranty if they are outside Europe (which is a two year warranty) so they've go noting to lose.

If you look at the specifications of all the other mobile phones from Samsung and HTC etc, you will notice that they make similar claims for battery life.
The fact is, the phone would be able to play music for that long if everything else on the phone was switched off or disabled. These figures are actually laboratory testing figures and not real world usage figures.
I totally agree that these figures are misleading and really shouldn't be published.

Technically, even though Nokia have renamed it Nokia Belle, it is still Symbian. I just need to get out of the habit of calling it Symbian Belle like I had to with Ovi store which has been renamed Nokia store.

Skype on the N8 doesn't support video calling but Fring does (allegedly). The N8 can do video calling without a third party app but it's expensive due to high network costs.

Anonymous, 25 Dec 2011do all N8 have 3.5mm jack...i got one with another type of earphone output :S
ALL N8's have a 3.5 mm headphone port. If your's hasn't then it's probably a Chinese clone and not a genuine one.

Correct, you can't use the Xenon flash as a video light.

i hav been usin my nokia n8 4 2 months now and i really do not agree with the spec. that the battery cn last 4 up 2 50h of music play mine cn barely make 10 afta a full charge.
