This can happen when taking night shots in a dusty environment.
The Xenon flash is too close to the lens so you are getting direct reflection back into the lens. Also, the flash is only powerful enough to illuminate the foreground which adds to the problem.

As I said, I haven't tried Belle yet so I can't pass judgment but it depends on what you mean by Belle being better. I suppose certain aspects of Symbian Belle are better than Android such as automatic network/Wi-Fi connectivity and customisable profiles. Not to mention that Android is highly prone to malware attacks, whereas Symbian is not.
I must also admit that the N8's physical design is far superior to my Samsung Galaxy S in terms of build quality.
I am seriously debating whether to flash my N8 with v3.6 Belle, but I think I'll wait until my Galaxy S is repaired just in case I brick the N8 and am left without a phone.

hy guys,
i found a way to clean scratches on your nokiaN8, those who love your n8s, thy often go here and there.. although it has a scratch resistant Gorilla glass and a Anodized aluminum casing scratches can still occur, i tried and found out they can be removed.. iv used it my self and it works 100%, its the 'Metallica car wax' for the car that is very often used to shine and remove scratches on the car can be used to shine your Nokia n8 as well.. :)

nokia n8 is not good the megafixel is very hihg but the qulity off picture is not good i buy buy nokia nokia n8 but im wasting my money

I am a proud owner of Nokia N8 since some time ago. I always knew Nokia phones are quality products when it comes to hardware and N8 certainly lives up to the hype looks wise. I love my phone, no problems with it, love all the items included. However I have 2 grouses; one being that often you need to swipe/click an extra 2 times more than the usual phones, like how many times I had to keep clicking Back to get out of a certain menu. But more importantly, I dislike the chip? Processor? It is too slow, and if Nokia were to say return the phone, pay XXX amount for an upgraded processor I will do it. Because this phone is amazing, looks great on TV screen, videos are HD, pictures even more so (I bought it for the 12MP camera) all save for the slow processor that does not accommodate for future uses. Give me an upgrade option and I will say this phone is perfect.
