Surfing the net with it is good, as I said. But you need to upgrade to Symbian Anna to feel the faster browse. But don't expect PC speed in your phone.
My battery stays whole one day, after continuous net connection (using facebook, updating in every 15 mins), 1hr talk time on an average daily, playing Galaxy on fire (2hrs), taking 12MP photoes (with or without flash) etc. I'd say that is a good battery.
If you're confused about the 680MHz processor & the response speed of N8 (Symbian), you'd be surprised to know that the Symbian OS is built on the computer language C# & doesn't require much resource (space: memory space, power: processor speed & RAM & energy: Battery power) to run the phone smooth. I will not give you any assurance that your phone will be as perfect as mine (as it is an electronic machine after all, and can blow up any time). Mind you, those who know me for a long time knows that my N8 DID restat a couple of times in the past. But I kept it updated & had faith in it. Now it is serving me good. Follow your heart, but you can't change your fate. If it is written in your fate that your phone will be ruined, then no matter what you buy (iPhone4, Galaxy S2, N8 whatever), your phone will be ruined. Whatever phone you buy, don't rough use it (running more than one HD games in the background is stupid). Try to exit the programs when you don't use it. Avoid installing unneccessary programs. Avoid installing & uninstalling all the time & definitely avoid shaking the phone (dropping it, shaking it hard). Charging & discharging it in full cycle. I can bet, if you can do those, your phone will last longer than others.

I didn't have it in PR1.1, had it in PR1.2 update, again it went away in PR2.0 (Anna) update. So if you're telling me that your "Purple tint problem of N8" went away just by changing the AMEOLED, you're lying. Btw, I didn't change my N8's screen or something, just updated to Anna. You should have done your homework better before trying to lie about a Nokia.

I think this will shut the Samsung fanboys for a while. I visited Galaxy SII pages & guess what, I found some interesting things. Below are a few of those interesting things:
Hi buddy welcome to s2 league. Androids really sucks in battery life we have to live with that. Also a phone with such large screen consumes it's major juice in display. Don't loose heart, in begning as we are constantly using this phone for our explorations so battery drain off is obvious. Sooner it would get back to normal.
Try these things.
1 disable all ur auto updates, gps, net connection etc. Start them only when u need them.
2 keep ur screen brightness to ur min comfort level also don't use live wallpapers.
3 install juice defender & advance task killer.
I guess it would really help. It worked for me after one month im getting min charging to charging period of 24 hours.
it battery doesn't stay more than 3 hours with a little usage of application and I tried to
recharge it 100% and it stayed open 6 hours only without any usage so please i need to if it personal problem ???????????
Camera is a complete failure.
I love my G2 but video recording is horrible, autofocus is 10x slower than Galaxy S, also exposure is terrible, it takes around 10 seconds to adapt to new lighting conditions.
Samsung should have never changed the setup on video as Galaxy S was perfect.
dears i need to know something
as i bought new handset (galaxy s2) and it's battery no stay more than 5 hours without using a lot of aplications
and i tried to recharge it 100% without using anything but it stayed open only 5 hours only
so i need to know if there's any something i can do>> or what you recommend on me to do ????
After one month of use , i really fall in love with this phone but suddenly my camera stop work. now when i try to capture an image or record any video , i found a blank screen with camera icons and after one minute i recieved an eror message " camera failed " .
Please help me if anybody have solution about this problem , i am waiting for your answers.

i got a problem here,my sgs2 refuse to boot.i'm not sure why.so i tried to boot it to download mode and it pop up a battery critical low message while i've just fully charged the phone.anyone face the similar problem??any solution would be appreciate.thx.

Raza, 26 Sep 2011yah its a nice phone but i was talking on skype and betery gets over in 2hrs only and touch is... morefrom the n8 spec page it says 5 hours of talktime using 3g network. so when talking using the phone plus using the internet connection at the same time, and assuming the battery is not as new when you bought the n8, i think the 2 hour talk is acceptable. btw, did it completely shutdown after the 2 hours? i assume it will go into power saving mode. thus the phone is still usable atleast for sms.

a lot of people still dont know smartphone can be updated, or dont bother to update. i've seen people using PR 1.0 till now. and no wonder they complain n8 is lagging and hang.

Sybian ANNA version is not suitable for Nokia N8. It slowed down internet browsing, downloading & slowed down the complete system of my cell phone.

I'm using a n8 and I had to change the AMOLED display to overcome that problem. NCP took care of that problem now it's working properly.

Ive got an N8, and i love it. It has so many good things and suports so many useful applications in the market today. I have really tryed some android devices, but honestly talking i just feel confortable with NOKIA, so i just came back.
