hello everyone,and hey ray..
i had decided to sell my n8 and i bought myself htc incredible s,and believe me android is much more fun os,we can tweak it easily..
i sold my n8 because i cant get myself certificate,have to admit though,i miss n8 camera quality..and n8 is not such a bad phone either..well be hapoy with your n8 guys,wish you all the very best..

I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but you'd better prepare yourself for an anticlimax. Spend a few weeks with Symbian Anna and you'll know what I mean.
If you got it from a network operator as part of a contract I would urge you to return it for something else that isn't Symbian powered.
Don't get me wrong, the N8 has some excellent features hardware wise but the OS lets it down in a big way.

Do not buy this phone, please search for "purple tint problem in Nokia n8 and c7 devices". I bought this phone last week and I was in love with this phone, as previous comments this hand set is the best ever. I admit that cause this is my 32nd mobile phone, all the options are superb but all the new Nokia n8 and c7 devices suffer from a problem which needs a display replacement to overcome the problem, most of the time that is not working either. if you don't believe me just check what millions of other new n8 users have to say about the device, I update to even Symbian Anna but the problem is in the display. and Nokia isn't doing anything about it cause they can't afford replacing all the displays in n8 phones.

Had my N8 since January, got a US variant product code. Been a great phone with no issues to speak of. All the complaints and rage about about no Anna yet puzzle me. I'm a heavy phone user that used alot of the many functions this phone offers. I don't have slow downs, lock ups, and battery life is good. There are very few phones that offer the connectitivity and features...and yes I've had Android and Apple. Get this phone if you are considering. I'm sure it will only get better with Anna and evenutally Belle.

I bought this phone last week and it worked properly for 5 days. Then it began to show me purple tints where black and gray color should be, specially with the Midnight Silver theme. I don't know what to do and I'm so disappointed. can anyone please tell me how to overcome this problem?

Android is better, 14 Sep 2011It's not that much good!! Smaller display than others. I think i waste my on buying this phone... morewt do u mean android is better? small screen then others? this is not a plasma tv that your comparing. the OS has nothing to do with the screen resolution, there are many android phones out there with low resolution and small screen display.. Android has its cons and prons.. try using it.. u got android go to many websites without a antivirus.. android is not so secure compared to symbian anna .. it seems you are blindly obsessed with android..
