phones are very dangerous so handle with care, whether nokia or any other, question is nokia care and support , but i think it is laking to the customer demands and un qualified youngesters sitting on counters for nothing , for my n82 , repairing at private center in cheap and satisfactory in hundred insted of thousands, ok it is alright ,i am N8, N82 USER. Fantastic , packed with latest features and needs, plz give warm well come to customers with grievences instead of new purchase new one which is offered by great honour.

Nokia clearly ran out of ideas and instead of innovating, they took the short route ... moreI'm glad somebody understands. It really is a shame when a company loses it's way.
Somebody here told me to get a life and to stop ranting. Well, I already did by ditching Nokia. But what annoys me is when I was helping people with their questions nobody told me to get a life then. It's clear to me that most people only hear what they want to hear.
There won't be any more rants from me as it's pointless. Too many fan boys to deal with.

How to check QT version on N8. And also other system information others what displayed in device update page. Something about cpu info, chipset or etc... Man I need to explore more about this phone..... Kinda exited to know more.

Nokia clearly ran out of ideas and instead of innovating, they took the short route and made Symbian Belle look like Android. No matter how you look at it, from the HTC-esque clock widget, to the pull down notificaton, it screams KIRF Android. Don't listen to these guys who hates your rants. I'm with you and I do agree that Nokia has lost its way.

friends just got my dark grey N8 , made in finland . Updated it to Anna , and now as u all know its an amasing update from that boring UI it had earlier. Faced no hanging problem till now , camera update also working fine. WWaiting for Belle update desperately ....

Awesome cell phone. I am using this cell from past 4 months and have no complaints. Battery backup is marvelous, camera is super fine especially the xenon light...no cell phone camera can take better pictures at night than NOKIA N8, virtual keypad is better than real keypad. Plays almost any format of videos. HDMI is great to play games on a bigger screen. Awesome web browser after upgrading to Symbian Anna...but for me Opera is still the first preferrence. HD games like, AVATAR, NFS SHIFT, ASPHALT 5, ASSASIN CREED, SPIDERMAN, JAWX, PES2011, GT RACING, CRICKET 2010, ANGRY BIRDS etc. can also be downloaded and installed. Can play music via. Radio in ur car, radio set, or any other cell phone's radio. Never seen a photo and video editor like the one present in Nokia N8 before. Has maps with life time free navigation...and much much more..
Best features:
1. Life time free GPS Navigation, means u buy a GPS device at the price of a cell phone.
2. 12 megapixel camera with xenon flash...means u get a digital camera included as well.
3. Nice screen size for movies and pdf documents on the go, means better than TAB's which come neither in category of PC's nor in the category of mobiles, for mobility.
Guys go for it if u can spend a few extra bucks.

A lot of things are going on in this N8 page.
I own a N8 from 1 month and believe me its not i didnt do any research n spent 22500 buks on a mobile which don't give anything.
I could have own a HTC DESIRE or a SAMSUNG GS or a SAMSUNG GS2 or SE ARC. but I was clear about my requirements
1.Great camera which can replace my need of a point shoot camera.
2.A device with very good quality music output.
3.A touchscreen phone with great build and durability.
4.Good Battery.
5.capability of running various Videos without conversion.N remember ITS AMOLED Screen.
now Am I satishfied? Yes Dude.
just tell me a Cell which have all this Facilities in this price range PLUS
1.HDMI output
2.HDMI connector cable packed
3.USB on the go
4.USB device conncting cable packed
5.FM transmission
6.720p video recording
7.Great free GPS navigation
7.A NOKIA CARE AT EACH N EVERY CORNER OF MY COUNTRY.
etc etc etc
and After ANNA update my UI is also too good like any samsung or HTC feel.
I am not telling that I don't miss any feature of any othe good phone
But I do realise How much I spent,for that I got the best thing in my hand.
People COMPARE this NOKIA flagship with the other BRAND Flagships till TODAY after its release from Past 1 year. I am too HAPPY n I will request others to stop complaining N Enjoy the Technology U have as N8.
Understand UR requirements and make a Purchase.
U CANT HAVE EVERYTHING IN A SINGLE PHONE.

Why to criticize N8, for e.g if you like few thing over N8 compared to may be galaxy s2 or whatever, Then please go to respective comment section & praise it, simple...
Why do you kick the ass of other things for your desires??? Remember no gadget is perfect...
Im damn sure your pc with 3GB RAM & 3GHz processor hangs & dies too...!!! After all N8 is just a pretty little cell in your palm without which you cant live...!

EEZO, 03 Sep 2011my n8 is slow when it comes to social networks, takes forever to navigate..argg!i get so angry... moreits your internet that is slow not the phone... try to analyze first your internet connection if its fast... maybe its time for you to upgrade your date plan

Android- best in apps but realistically, how many apps does a person install or even use.
Iphone- best in performance.
N8- best in features and built quality. The greatest multimedia device in the world

i notice that the purple is gone when i updated my N8 to anna and the display is now much clearer and more crispier! my phone has now more options. its getting better, much much better!

There are the ones with defective N8s around , but that doesn't mean the company Nokia isn't doing a good job, every manufacturer have products with defects here or there, overall the N8 is great featured packed phone for the price.
