The same here... What happened to data connection log? Still waiting for official Anna here in Croatia. Or maybe should it be Belle for all of us in the next few days??

asim, 23 Aug 2011is video call with skype on nokia n8 possible through wifi??...............tell me please....no asif, skype hasn't yet released a full fledged mobile application for the symbian platform. But with the mobile application that is in the ovi store, you can pretty much do everything other than video calls.
Just got ANNA (finish product code) and the camera update from beta labs. Everything working very well. This phone will keep getting stronger with each new Symbian version. Belle makes it almost perfect for the price.

i bought an N8 2 months ago here in the philippines. am very disappointed: the advertised specs says the battery life is more or less 16 days (384 hours) but in reality it cannot even last 4 days !!!!

Hi my fellow Nokia users,
I've worked for the United States Air Force in the Netherlands as an attorney/adviser. It was my best job ever. So there is still with me a connection with the US. Just like you, I'm deprived from the Anna update as well. For you I did a little research about the situation in the US. First let me explain something. Since I haven't any inside information concerning Nokia, my remarks are just conclusions.
Here we go. As far as I know you are dealing with two different possibilities; Either you have a regional working phone or a so called Country Variant working phone. North America is a region and as such the organization, who is responsible for updates is Nokia in the first place. Network carriers are not playing any part in the decision making of rolling out updates. North America in the set up of a Country Variant is exactly the opposite. Every network carrier in the US must give an approval before Nokia can put an update on his server(s). I understand that this situation has been settled by contract. In other words in the past Nokia has given his freedom away in rolling out updates. Don't forget network carriers can be an important and big client of Nokia too, given the number of phones sold by these network carriers. Technical is it also necessary that network carriers are given the opportunity to streamline their protocols and software with the new Nokia software. Every one, who has a simlock free phone THINK, that he or she has no relevant relationship with network carriers, but that is not the case. If someone has a phone from a network carrier with a product code, which only applies to the network carrier, can blame that carrier for not doing the work properly. In the US you can only blame all of them. Now I will give you the product codes for the North America region and the Country Variant North America US, so you can check on your phone by "calling" *#0000# your product code.
North America region: 059G196; 0599218; 0599222; 0599226; 0599230 and 0599236
CV North America US: 059C8T6; 059D0V2; 059D110; 059D111; 059D112 and 059G700
These product codes are not provided with the Anna update.
These product codes apply only to the Nokia N8. If there is need for other models I will hear it, I suppose.
