People, the purple tint, whenever it appears, can be removed by activating power saving and then deactivating it. Try it out.

lash, 27 Aug 2011still no updates in USA FA136052: Why don’t I see Symbian Anna update packages in the software update client on my phone?
There could be several reasons.
1) Symbian Anna has not been released for your country yet and therefore no update is available yet.
2) Symbian Anna has been released for your country but you are using
a) a productcode that belongs to an operator that has not approved the update yet
b) a productcode that belongs to a country that has not released the update yet
3) You have checked for software updates in the last 24h and your phone is not showing new available updates, as it is only connecting to the server once every 24h and any other time only check its memory. To clear your phone’s cache, tap the Clock on your homescreen and change the date of your phone to next day (via Settings). For example, if todays date is 6th Nov, then set the date to 7th Nov. This will make existing updates visible.

kodn, 26 Aug 2011Has anybody noticed anything wrong with their N8 after the update? I like my N8's music player... moreyeah,the shuffle mode in music player tends to turn off everytime i exit and re-enter the music player..

rolo, 26 Aug 2011hie guys i just gt a new N8 fone .. i am unable to receive the call from the headfones .. plz ... moresimple, you need to change accessories to Headset instead of headphones.
Settings,Phone,Accessories; once there set Headset as default, that way you can use your volume buttons and mic when call comes in.

I have just updated my nokia n8 software by anna update. I found the web browser is more fast as it was before but it not steady as it flickrs and jumps while scrolling. Moreover the images in the browser are not as sharp and clear as it was before. Has anyone experienced it?

AnonD-3836, 26 Aug 2011tried the sim changing option.even changed the network destination to the mtn wap settings but... moreIt seems you're not the only Voda customer awaiting the rollout of anna from voda. I read now on hellopeter that it has been approved by voda for n8 and c7 and that anna update for voda subscribers will be available 'shortly', probly a week or two. So just be patient mate. In this case I am glad for sticking with mtn...

@Ray--I purchased my n8 in Nov. 2010 and was pretty happy with it upto May 2011, when it just went dead.I sent it to the Nokia Care Center who in turn sent it to the Nokia Country Headquarters.The phone was duly replaced but guess what,the new one had a pathetic purple tint problem faced by thousands of users across the globe. :(.It had the perfect screen before.I again sent it to NCC and they just sent it back after 10 days with the defective screen still in place.:( Anyway, the brightness control app in the daily mobile forum link which you posted sometime before seems not to be working on my N8.I downloaded the .rar file but it says that the app is not compatible with my OS.Is the Symbian Anna which i updated last week disabling the working of this app?It seems the app worked fine for PR 1.2. Any pointers on this?

Guess you'll have to hang in there a wee bit longer then. Have you tried contacting Voda about the Anna rollout? Believe me anna is really great in the looks and performance department on N8. And you can still get the camera update from nokia beta labs. I am not sure whether it was included with the symbian firmware.
