If this turns out to ... moreMy best guess is that Nokia is planning big for USA. They'll probably get Belle update instead of Anna. Cause someone mentioned in this forum about Nokia saying that iOS and Android is outdated. If I'm not wrong, it means Nokia is thinking to compete against them by Belle. So don't lose your hope.

[deleted post]Purple tint is the software issue of N8 using OS version 1.2. In the screen rates analog clock you could see a purple tint. But that is nothing serious. Some said that it was a hardware problem, but as I said before, it was software issue. Updating your N8 into Anna solves the purple tint issue. So be free to buy N8, the best phone with best camera. But make sure you update it after the purchase.

hetty, 24 Aug 2011N8 is a failure!!!!!!!!!!!! still they have not resolved the purple tint defect.You are a lier! You don't own an N8. If you would, you'd know that after the Anna update the purple tint is gone as it was not a hardware, but software issue. I can assure anyone about this as me and my wife is using N8 from the day of release. Both our N8s had purple tint after updating them to pr1.2, but now both don't have it. You're just jealous as Nokia is making there phones better than Android

I need your help I updated my n8 with the ANNa since then i am unable to send sms's I can only receive them I have reinstalled as well nogo I have changed the sim as well still no luck so please advice as service provider also has no clue regarding this .

my n8 had d purple tint issue..but aftr d anna update its totally gone..d blacks r really dark..images look gr8 now..videos luk gr8 now..screen display colour quality has improvd a lot..n8 is d best of al cels available today..

USAn8, 24 Aug 2011I just found out that Nokia don't plan to make any updates for USA!!! First they didn't even ... moredownload annaupdate from navifirmplus and update through phoenix . i have done it successfully

i compared this n8 to samsung wave s8500..and samsung wave is much much better phone than n8.super amoled screen rocks.wave has better os
