Hana, 04 Aug 2011I want 2 buy a new cell phone so I'm confused between N8 and Galaxy S II , which one is better??????N8 is better only in Camera, Battery life, built quality and prize.
If you want tons of applications and games buy SGS II.
But SGS II is much more expensive, you can not compare it with older N8.

You can download only few games from s60v5 or new HD games for symbian^3(NFS Shift, Assasin Creed,Avatar, and much more for free from ovi)
Or buy newest games : Asphalt 6, Dungeon Hunter,...

Symbian is not as responsive as iOS or as complete as Android, but it is close, I admit is is a little slower and not as friendly, but at the price it is ofered compared with his rivals it is a very fair trade, havinf used all 3 systems I admit, I like symbian and the N8 is by far the best Camera Phone Period

The Finnish handset also adds other notable virtues, namely the ability to watch its contents on a big screen via HDMI-out with 5.1 channel surround sound, USB-on-the-go, and free lifetime navigation that works offline in most countries.
Juiced up to full capacity, Nokia claims 12.0 hours of talktime for the N8, compared to 6.5 hours for the Galaxy S. Standby times are 390 hours and 576 hours respectively. The Galaxy S loses this one.
And for the extras
The N8 also includes: onboard 3D graphics acceleration, GPS/A-GPS (with free Ovi Maps), digital compass, Web TV, Flash support, FM radio (with RDS) and an HDMI out with Dolby Digital Plus support. The Galaxy S features a stereo FM radio with RDS, GPS/A-GPS and a digital compass (4-5)
Nokia all tha way baby! , with Anna releasing soon , then the Belle update, haha, I just love this! No iphone or any other manufacturer can come close!

Gotta say that this os argument is way overdone. Its the only one that N8 haters have. Sure, android is a great os but don't assume that everyone wants it. There will always be mac and pc lovers. And even within pc there will be W7 lovers and those who prefer to remain with Xp. S3 could be better but don't hate it because apple and android marketing execs say we should. Think for yourself and realize S3 has advantages. Besides, os is only part of the package and you can achieve anything with updates. But hardware is where the boundaries are. So don't be brainwashed, people. N8 is far more than a cameraphone. It is simply the greatest multimedia smartphone on the planet. Get it!

What ever your thoughts the Nokia N8 is still the BEST camphone on the planet..Even the 14MP Android Altec Leo is getting poor results..T TTo this day
