ROHIT, 28 Jun 2011N8 is a marvellous device but if you are a gamer then i would not suggest n8 or any other symb... moreYes Rohit, this is something I am assuming that every Symbian 3 phone owner would have to face. Nevertheless, I have dumped android and going for the N8 in July(Orange color :P). Android is a good OS but its true potential is seen only in the nexus series which do not have a good video recording capabililty(i need video recording and playback).
Well, we needn't lose hope as other games(non HD) are still coming up in the Ovi store. May be someone will come up with a modern combat or a brothers in arms for symbian 3 as well :)

Octav98, 21 Jun 2011I don't think its OS is very good... symbian gets a lot of viruses ! My mother has a symbian p... moreI read android also read it on wiki here:
In May 2011, researchers at University of Ulm publicized a security flaw, present in all Android devices running AndroidOS 2.3.3 and earlier versions (more than 99% of all Android devices worldwide), that affects all Google services using the ClientLogin authentication protocol (such as authentication tokens widely used by eBay and other online services) and allows hackers to access any personal data available through Android's application programming interfaces (APIs), thus stealing the user's digital credentials over open wireless networks. In response, Google announced a fix that would be rolled out transparently to the user.[85]
In March 2011, Google pulled 58 malicious apps from the Android Market, but not before the 58 apps were downloaded to around 260,000 devices.[86] These apps were malicious applications in the Android Market which contained trojans hidden in pirated versions of legitimate apps.[87] The malware (called DroidDream) exploited a bug which was present in versions of Android older than 2.2.2.[88] Android device manufacturers and carriers work in tandem to distribute Android based updates and had not uniformly issued patches to their customers for the DroidDream exploit, leaving users vulnerable.[89] Google said the exploit allowed the apps to gather device specific information, as well as personal information. The exploit also allowed the apps to download additional code that could be run on the device.[90] Within days, Google remotely wiped the apps from infected users and rolled out an update that would negate the exploits that allowed the apps to view information. They also announced that they would be resolving the issue to ensure that events like this did not occur again.[91] Security firms such as AVG Technologies and Symantec have released antivirus software for Android devices.
In August 2010, an SMS Trojan called Trojan-SMS.AndroidOS.FakePlayer.a infected a number of mobile devices, according to security firm Kaspersky Lab. Disguised as a harmless media player application, the trojan, once installed sends out SMS text messages without the users knowledge or consent. According to Denis Maslennikov, Senior Malware Researcher at Kaspersky Lab, there's not an exact number of infected devices available at present, but the outbreak is currently regional. For now, only Russian Android users can actually lose money after installing the Trojan, but anyone can be infected.[92] Android users were advised not to use the Android web browser until Google issues a security patch. The Android Security Team responded and developed a fix on February 5 and patched Open Source Android two days later.

I bought my Nokia N8 from Amazon in December 2010, after a wonderful performance it died on me on February. Due to a not-existent international warranty I sent it to Nokia Dallas Tx and it was replaced. After a wonderful performance it died on me "AGAIN" and still trying to send it back to Nokia Dallas Tx due to a not-existent international warranty. Can anybody help me solve this now that Nokia DOESN'T HAVE the kind of help I need?

Anonymous, 25 Jun 2011talking time is ok but can anyone tell me y this phone sucks a lot battery when gps is switche... moresame issues here great phone matter of fact i have both the E7 and N8 my biggest issue is the batteries i see no purpose in abusiness phone when you need to carry charger or solar enrgy cells to recharge on the fly, i have made many concessions to preserve battery power in closing totally out 2 screens, limited the active application and black home screen, to me its very ridicolous to have this flagships yet limited by inedequate batteries ,finally i fund this offthe market battery RHOl that makes 1600 MHA battery to fit both phone , naturally upon intallation my nokia warranty will be voided however short of having 2 paper weights in my flight bag i will atke the changes on one of them and see any improvements if any, should it fail its back to my Sammy 8910

N8 is a marvellous device but if you are a gamer then i would not suggest n8 or any other symbian 3 device. I bought mine in november, there were plenty of HD games in Ovi store back then, there are no new games for my N8 for like 6 months now, Gameloft, EA, Fishlabs, etc none of them are making any games for symbian 3 where as android marketplace and apple appstore are literally flooded with HD games.
