Was it in contact with water? Dropped? It's hard to say like this. Maybe it needs a mechanical repair, maybe a new battery, maybe re-installing firmware would fix it, it could be anything...

When did the batter... moreIt is no diffcult to change but you need an special screewdriver (fix type, or star) . Look in youtube yoy will fiand instructions to change the battery. Battery is easy to buy on line. God luck

Sandeep , 25 Mar 2014Yes,,,using it frm last 3 years,,,,changed the battery last week,,,,na it's giving long battery lifeI think we can replace the battery of N8 by ourself. You said that you replaced the batterry after 3 years. Did the battery swell / got bulged (like normal batteries)?. How to find it?. Shall I take the battery out once in 6 months and check for swelling / bulging?. I bought my N8 as a new piece with warranty on September 2012 last week.

This phone is a mini jukebox. The earphone (WH-701) that came with this handset (N8) rocks in producing bass effects in the earphones (when tested in a silent place) if the song has the same.
I use samsung N7100. Its audio quality and the battery backup time sucks. This made me to use my cutie N8 as my primary phone.
Nokia, common. Please launch Symbian phones again. Give life to the Symbian. Please.

Aadrian, 23 Mar 2014Got my N8 almost one year, still loving it. Camera is so good. I bet this phone's camera still... moreNokia should not forget this awesome smartphone. It is my only cameraphone. .its size is not too big and not too small. Its sound's quality is also good. Its pictures's quality is very good in comparison with Galaxy S4 or iphone 5, but iphone 5 / 5s picture quality is awesome too (just the price is high).
I still use N8 as my primary phone and Galaxy Note 10.1" is my secondary device. :)
