zarikiey, 22 May 2011how can i play rmvb video smothly without lag on n8?@zarikiey.
Microsoft Multimedia Viewer Book ( .MVB ) is a video format which contains video and audio for Help ( .hlp ) files.
Try converting the .mvb to m-peg4 or another compatible video format.
An amazing technology Nokia has created.. :)
I have the whole world in my hand......
celladik, 22 May 2011So what was your opiNIoN bouT c7 having 1gb roM CompareD to our n8? Does c7 has m0re FuTure update?@celladik.
I've noticed also that other new Nokia devices have got 1 GB of ROM such as the X7. However, I'm not entirely sure what the implications are regarding that. The N8 and the C7 were released at the same time, but the N8 was announced in April 2010 whereas the C7 was announced in September 2010 so that may be a factor in the different sized ROM's.
Sorry if I couldn't have been of more help.

Thanks man. :) Although if the system files are the same, then what differenc... more@Dj.
Having surplus ROM allows room for future firmware updates, and also improves phone performance. If the ROM was completely full the phone would become un-usable.
ROM isn't something we need to worry about when choosing a phone, it's RAM ( Random Access Memory ) that's important.
However, the N8 only has 256MB of RAM but Symbian^3 is faily lightweight and efficient so doesn't require a vast amount of RAM or processing power in order to function.
All the best.

I think you mean torch light, in which case the N8 cannot be used as such due to it having a Xenon flash instead of a LED flash. Xenon flash is significantly brighter than LED and if you were to activate the Xenon bulb for more than a few seconds it would heat up to the point where it would just blow.
the best phone ever to be released by nokia, nokia has been the best 4 ages and now fortunatly there have proved that they will never disapoint there supporters, both old and young, ever since the 5110-3310-3510-6110-7210-eseries and now we got nseries, dats fantastic

The Ex-Nokia Fanboy, 22 May 2011Sorry but there's still no solution to this purple screen problem. Nokia acknowleded it but th... moreI agree
That is also what I suggested to people...
But people, remember: Don put the brightness at the highest level, because you might overwhelm the screen, but 80% is perfectly fine and like 90% of the tint disappears..
Evelyn , 21 May 2011I buyed new nokia n8, and it is have purple tint issue. Now how can i solve the situvation?
P... moreSorry but there's still no solution to this purple screen problem. Nokia acknowleded it but they don't want to make the public know about it. Someone on the main Nokia support forums talked about making this defect known on Facebook and his post got deleted. Nokia is doing some damage control and that's how they do it, by deleting people's posts.
The best you can do for now is to get Brightness Control and set the brightness high to make the defect less noticeable. I know it's not a real solution but there's not much we can do until Nokia supplies its NCCs with defect free screens. You can keep sending your phone to the NCCs but they still don't have the defect free screens on hand and this purple screen fiasco has been known since January. It's been 5 months now and Nokia still don't have a solution. Shame on Nokia.
Really nice phone, nice features, most of all 12 MP camera with full auto focus and dual LED flash.
Totally rad phone good smart phone to replace an iphone.
