useless phone...
Bought this fone a month back and i'm extremly disappointed...
the phone hangs atleast 2-5 times a day..
hav formatted it 3 times by myself and once at the customer care center.
still no luck..
STILL WAITING TO FIND A SOLUTION FOR THE HANG ISSUE.

Hey Guys - about this N8
I think its a really great phone, comprising of EVERYTHING people want nowadays ... I have heard people say that it has a virus in it; the Symbian ^3 sucks and its slow, it crashes, blah blah and similar shit
But I think if you take really good care of it, it will work like a normal smartphone

Hi to everyone...
I have my N8 since it was first launched in the Philippines last October 23, 2010. (23,699 pesos)
I have questions for all of you...
Nokia N8 runs on Symbian^3 at 772MHZ underclocked to 680mhz ARM11 processor with 256MB of RAM. plus a dedicated Broadcom GPU!
iPhone 3GS has on atmost IOS 4.3 at underclocked speed of ARM Cortex 600mhz with 256MB or RAM plus PowerSGX GPU (Does 3GS have a dedicated GPU? how about on the iphone 4? does it have a dedicated GPU LIKE THE N8?)
If you can see 3GS and N8 has ALMOST same processor speed and amount of RAM, with N8 has a little more edge.
Symbian is a lighter OS compared to IOS. But if you use side by side 3GS and N8, it seems 3GS executes apps, games smoother and faster? Why??
Set aside that IOS freezes app (no true multitasking) Consider the scenario with both zero running apps fresh from boot. I tested it myself. But i cannot understand why 3GS runs smmothly in IOS while N8 a bit lags on Symbian (especially when a folder contains bit more apps, apps execution, etc)

had my n8 for over six months now bought last nov. 11,2010 haven't encountered any problems with it no purple screen defect downloaded dozens of apps from ovi. Still enjoying using it till now. Great phone.

'Use that to browse to where you downloaded your certificate and key and give it a profile name' i got a webpage saying that its my certificate.. but i didnt get any .cer files to download.. plzz help..

Just updated to Pr1.2, didn't have any problems in the first place but am liking the improvements, screen seems sharper, browser a little snapper, the landscape dialer make it far easier for me to make call in the car when the phones in it's GPS cradle and I like the new QT 3D features. Updates that are actually useful, now there's an idea android fans

But why nokia can't upgdrade there processor and ram.they are the main selling points today.

Addy, 26 May 2011I have been using this phone for around 6 months now. I am having problems with Maps, whenever... moretry to update ur device's software to latest version..or reinstall the update..

I have been using this phone for around 6 months now. I am having problems with Maps, whenever I open the application after 5 secs the phone resets and reboots.
Is anybody else facing this same problem? any solution for the same??
