You told you network doesn't allow I-Phone but if you want to use it you can "Factory Unlock" it with "Gevy SIM" it costs only 20$USD here in Bangladesh.
But why I-Phone when you've an great option to use Nokia N8 it's awsome phone I've ever used. You can have it.
Here we are only to share our ideas but the choice is yours.....

Hello Ray,
I got my N8 almost 6 months back.I am fully satisfied with the phone.But I have a problem where call gets diconnected all of a sudden do any of you face this prob?and guys please let me when is the Anna update be available for the N8 and what does it have to offer feature wise?

N8 will easily update to Sy... moreI read a lot of news and sees many things before I bought this phone and while I was holding ip4,but I've never regretted for buying this phone which is my first phone of nokia,I feel great,its camera is great+many new fwatures+great connectivity+great microphones+great music players+ip games and apps why wouldn't I choose it :) Lovely,I am also a fan of ur utube channel :)

N8 will easily update to Symbian Belle.
In fact, 512 Rom is capable to store and run WP7.
Believe me guys, As long as N8 is around, it will update to any Symbian upgrade.
(NOTE: Symbian will always be a light OS no matter it's Anna or Belle)
(Did you know? :0 "Symbian Anna requires only up to 300mb of Rom")

How did u do urs.... moreYou have to enter your IMEI number to get your certificate as it is unique to your phone. I got mine last year some time and haven't had any problems. I can understand your concern, but I've found it to be safe.
What country are you in Fred? As Nokia are doing a promotion on free HD games this summer for some countries such as the UK.

i bought n8 on the day of launch but in vain the sound quality is good but the amp is not u cannot listen divx or xvid movie sound nokia has to get change the sound quality and the other problem is while u attend a call the sound we think that the person is calling from distance i left the phone behind and purchased htc hd7 awesome phoen with good qualities the gps is tooo fast in the mobile better prefer htc
