Hello Guyz!!!
Yesterday, I bought my very own N8, it is superb!!!, I just finished installing some themes and applications, but I noticed that my unit is also affected with purple screen, but it is not a problem, it can't be noticeable as it blends with the theme's colors.
By the way, may be by next month, I will return to the store and will look for the better one, but mine is just fine. Lets see for how many days, because for now I can't get my hands off to this superb n8, I'm glad I got a high speed internet plan, slow browsing is not a problem with my N8, this thing is fast. Very excited for the Symbian Ana
P.S. anyone here knows how to check the manufacturing date or something like production batch? Thnks

AnonD-2665, 29 Apr 2011hi,itz worldwide problem of nokia n8 and i think nokia is unable to do anything in this matter... moreA friend of mine is a hardcore Nokia fan and he's due for a HUP on his carrier. He was going to get an N8 and we can't find a perfect one. We'll try again over the weekend on another store and I can't convince him to go Android.
Anyhow, goodluck getting it fixed.

Ain't got one yet but is it true that there's that clicking sound/noise when "recording videos"?
...i have watched samples of n8's video rec. tests on youtube and it always has that noise especially when the lens "auto" focuses on the subject(like when recording in close ranges with the subj.)
Also,is there a difference in autofocus and continuous autofocus when it comes to recording videos???

[deleted post]hi,itz worldwide problem of nokia n8 and i think nokia is unable to do anything in this matter ! Most of the buyer,seller r not aware of this defect ! People dont even know that they r using defective n8 ! U can wait till the next batch or for x7 ! I think E7 is nt ve this defect ! I am using defective n8 (purple red screen) and i ve planned to submit it to nokia care in july-august and i hope there ll be defect free screen available by that time !

N8 is the best phone by nokia it has 12mp great camera and it also name of nokia n serise nokia n8 is better then e7

My N8 been hanging quite a bit since I installed some mods. They work great but they slow down the system. Understand where the bigger file size will require more processing. However I defragmented the mass storage drive today and its performing much better. Smooth sailing since.

O man, this phone really rocks from top to bottom, light weight os, very customisible, fluid plus many totally news features, battery performence is outstanding, camera rocks too really. Only 7 gb left, bcos I got so many cool hd games, I'd say it's a lovely phone.I can give up my any android or ios phone form this. Now hard feelings for those fanboys, I am not a fanboy either, I juz like a cools gadget. If never take it as my life too lol!!!
