Nokia n8 costs 37000 and galaxy ace is 29000 rs in Pakistan .
GAlaxy s is better as it has 800mhz processor, better graphics and more ram + android 2.2 so it gives u better performance + more games and apps.
It has also a better screen I mean length to width ratio.
N8 only got a better camera nothing else

Symbian 3's 680Mhz should be compared to to 772Mhz Android speed. Because, Symbian is a lighter OS and requires less CPU. So, it means that N8 is not slow at all.
I'm using it and it never freezes and it is just amazing in overall...

i got my n8 on apr 9 th
untill 23 rd apr i used my phone nothing went wrong
on 23 rd morning alamr was actiwated i switched off it can came to ofiz & try to get a call phones s display was black
nothing on display switced off more than 20 tyms same
hope nokia will give an answer for this matter i want to replace it
any how phoe is amaizng the except this error cant find the reason

Have swayed from nokia this past 6 months to SGS and darkys roms but nokia/symbian is pulling me back,its always does.Before SGS had multi n-series devices but main fone for 12 months was e72.It seems a long way from my 7650 nearly 8 yrs ago.When you have used symbian for so long it stays engrined in you.

We've been banging at Nokia's door since January and it's been almost 5 months now! That's plenty of time for them to make adjustments. Look buddy, what you're trying to do here is defending Nokia's inability to solve the issue. If there are clear cut solutions to this problem then it would have been known on the net in no time. So far, Nokia keeps telling us to take our defective N8s to NCCs but even the NCCs don't have the defect free screens. This wouldn't have been an issue if this defect is being addressed properly but it's not! Nokia is making us go around in circles.

i think nokia is the best product and always create a pretty good model for all. Nokia N8 is a great handset for them who need a bright and good photo capture in HD... Stop talking a bad thing about this model. Cause i think all of the product had their own weakness... Keep Moving Nokia....

AnonD-1082, 24 Apr 2011Nokia admited the defect and they told us that the new defect free screens are now in stock so... morewill you stop pointing pple to other pples posts in different forums, do you have a set thats got some problem, Nokia does not have a factory in every country of the world, spare them some flack. all I know is that however long it takes this problem will be sorted, for real, before talking to your local NCC or the store you bought your set in, talk to Nokia hq on the nokia webpage, highlight your problem and am sure they are going to respond to you within a day or in hrs if not minutes, this are practical pple whio offer suport top Nokia owners, if thats not service then I do not know what is, othrwise stop trolling, and mark you I am not downplaying the awareness thing cause thru this infor I was able to conduct the screen test before agreeing to take my set

NCCs might change the display and put yet another problematic display in its place. If they do, then you must put them under pressure until they fix it. Sue them if you have to. You've paid for the phone and they must give you proper service.
There are people who returned they devices and received a fixed unit.
If I decide to by an N8, I'd check it in the shop, and even examine it with that testing picture.

[deleted post]you are getting emotional, nobody has denied anyu of your claims, when you admit that yours has been replaced, dont you think you admit that nokia is doing something? the replaced set still is on waranty, am just sorry for you you have to take it back, when you are getting the replacement if at all you have one, why dont you conduct the screen test and if you find the same problem ask for another one untill you get the right thing, dont yopu think you have a ryt to the product you have paid for? all am saying is be practical, and stop calling people fanboys, bringing apple up was just to show you how others are being treated and the fact that Nokia admits responsibility is a plus for them to anyone doing business with them, period

To add more insult, there are now dust particles underneath the screen of his N8.
Admitting the defect is one thing but the more important thing is getting the affected units fixed which Nokia fails to do until now.

[deleted post]nobody has denied there are sets that are defective, the fact that Nokia admits is a huge statement of responsibility, then again Nokia is ready to address the problem, remeber Iphone statement about the signal bars, "it the way you hold the set" was that responsible, or Samsung producing the wave 1 and because it was expensive to produce the super amoled screens silently benching it n even denying it some firmware upgrades? please lets be practical and stop trolling when we cannot lay our hands on a set. am a proud owner of the N8, Samsung Wave S8500, Nokia N95 8gb and the 5800xm, I aint bashing any, am I
