[deleted post]It seems your april comes pretty early ;) . However the N8 sensor itself is capable of 1080p recording but the camera buffer isn't large enough.

Hello,i must salute to nokia n8,..its realy experience of lifetime achivement,n8 is master of all mobile world
i am using n8 nonstope since intruduce .. no probleme in any sort of application.. realy love this nokia master one ..

N8 is a great phone, BUT! after few months of usage, it starts to lag and everything, gaming is also amazing but the OVI Store suckssss because most free games require internet access to be played, and usually bad games..only if i could jailbreak

hi gitty may i know hows your n8 now is fixed reddish purple replacement new amoled screen already or not? because nokia care phillippines 6x amoled screen replacement it same result reddish purple not fix even how many times changed the Amoled screen and touchpanel, Now Out of stock Amoled screen at nokia care, I think this is not screen problem, maybe nokia used three screen first batch got perfect screen, 2nd batch got two types of screen reddish purple and the other one is brownies purple screen, or maybe its a hardware problem, i hope will fixed this via firmware upadte PR 2.0....

AnonD-2869, 27 Mar 2011I love sony LCD TV,Laptops,especially cameras, but in phones sony is never near nokia,by many ... moreI don't have a choice where the phones are concerned, this is my second blue N8 and it still has the tint issue but to a lesser extent, if this persists I will stick to Sony phones since I hate my samsung pixon 12 and this stupid iPhone 4 that I'm getting rid of.

please use light controll application, it is redusing the purple issue, tested on my n8.

heey gr8 newss guyzz...iv successfully modded android 2.3 for N8..it is way better than symb. iv hackd mobile and installed it. it works like charm. nw it records 1080p videos @25 fps.

I have been trying N8 from couple of days, what I am to writing in is not to go against Nokia N8 or Symbian^3 but just an opinion What might be dragging Nokia down. It is not the color of icons, it is not the hardware, it is not the old look, it is not the font and it is not the speed or browser. But one thing that I felt since I start using this beautiful device, the FLOW of information that user have to deal with. It is simple yet somehow it is not that simple.
I haven't use Andriod yet so I cannot compare it to Symbian^3, and I know Symbian has a lot of features to offer and such many things are not easy task to contain but still if Nokia put some of their good resource to simplify them more, just the flow of everything than I am sure they will claim the crown very easily with this OS.

I own this phone for several months. The firmware always up to date. I have no complaints, best phone I've gor so far.

Anonymous, 23 Mar 2011Me too so disappointed with N8's proximity sensor. I got my calls dropped several times.once you have made the call, just use the slide lock button to lock the screen, really effective.
