Nokia N8 has an extremely amazing camera especially the additional feature of cal zesis. The hd definition display on this handset can do videos playback which are even better than other handsets like galaxy S and HTC desire. However the downside of this mobile is that it is symbian OS and the fact that it has a well slow CPU for a mobile over £400. The best handset in the UK market that has the best all round function would be HTC Incredible S and is exclusively to carphone warehouse.

hi i am living in saudi arabia......the n8 which sells here has no issues and works perfect in all.....me and my all friends are having nokia n8 with different colors and different made in....mine is made in finland...!!

The phone... moreI love sony LCD TV,Laptops,especially cameras, but in phones sony is never near nokia,by many reasons, they are slow,they juz keep usig other people software,no creation at all,still stuck with plastic phones,have you ever seen Arc and N8 video recording Arc sucks all d way search on youtube. Cheers....have fun hardcore fan boy

Guys test your N8 using the link below. Load the image from the gallery and if you guys see anything reddish or purple then your screen is defective.
To anyone thinking of buying an N8 please make sure you get a perfect unit without the purple screen. Save yourselves from the hassle of dealing with Nokia Care. They are replacing defective units with defective units.

I am using it now....I do not know where u all got yur n8 but as far that i am concern there is no such default on this phone..i am a heavy user on camera,video,games and all other gimics that n8 can offer so evrything is superb...and for sony lover please compare yur phone with motorola....u r not up to this standard !!!!

trust in Nokia anymore, maybe after a week I might have to send this phone back too because of the tint issue. If you're a Nokia fan like myself you should try out a Sony Ericsson Xperia, you wont be disappointed!

second batch of n8 is affected by purple tint or reddish so basically everywhere in nokia care or nokia priority or any other mobile shop,center .is having stock of second batch so if they will replace the any user handest they will still get defective unit,so main problem is when fresh or third batch of n8 will arrive in market..?????

They are replacing a defective unit with another unit with defect. They are in short supply of the perfect screens and this defect is widespread.

What can I say, I finally got my N8 and to be honest I'm very disappointed in Nokia. The phone had a reddish tint and then it changed to purple, my wife contacted amazon and they sent out a replacement which was better but not by much. The new handset has the same issue but it's not as obvious as the previous, not sure if I'll ever buy a Nokia again, I really love my Xperia X10 just got it updated with pinch to zoom and I'm loving it. The next phone on my list is the Xperia Arc. From my iPhone 4
